學校背景：

追本溯源，本校前身為「羅富國師範專科學校附屬小學」，於1950年起在羅富國師範專科學校分校上課。直至本校校舍落成後，該校二至六年級學生於1954年9月全數入讀本校，加上本校召收的一年級學生，故本校開校首年上、下午校有十二班學生(全滿), 人數逾九百多人。於2000年因下午校遷往羅富教育學院的舊址，於1月25日正式定名為「李陞小學」，轉為全日制小學。
