STC Library Release date: 2017 September 1 Students must put their schoolbags in the designated cupboards when entering the library.
2.

圖書館規則:
1. 學生進入圖書館時，必須將書包放在指定位置上。
2. 學生只准在圖書館正門出入，不得隨意使用緊急出口。
3. 不得將圖書或其他物品放在桌椅作為預留座位之用。
4. 不得在圖書館內閒談、飲食或嬉戲。
5. 學生需憑學生証借書，中一至中三學生最多可借書三本，中四至中六學生最多可借書四本。
6. 借書期限為兩星期，只可續借一次。學生可預訂已借出之書籍。
7. 參考書籍及雜誌只准借閱兩天，並須填妥借閱表格作為紀錄。
8. 應準時交還借閱之書籍，過期還書者，將會被罰款，罰款每本每日為$0.5。
9. 學生應愛護圖書館書籍，如有損壞、塗鴉或遺失，須賠償重新訂購書籍的費用及相關行政費。
10. 所有圖書館內書籍、報章及雜誌，閱讀後應放回原處。

Library Regulations:
1. Students are only allowed to use the front door

of the library. Students are not allowed to use the emergency exit unless absolutely necessary.
3. Books and other personal belongings cannot be left on chairs and desks for the purpose of seat reservation.
4. Students must not chat, play, eat or drink in the library.
5. Students can borrow books by using their own student card only. Students from S.1 to S.3 classes can at most borrow 3 books. Students from S.4 to S.6 classes can at most borrow 4 books.
6. Every book can be borrowed for two weeks and can only be renewed once. A request system is available for borrowed books.
7. Quick Reference books and magazines can only be borrowed for two days. Students have to complete corresponding requisition slips for record keeping.
8. All borrowed books should be returned to the library on time. Fines will be levied on late returns and it will be $0.5 per book per day.
9. Students should take care of all books. If the books are damaged, smeared or lost, students will be liable for the loss the book. They will be expected to pay the cost of reordering the book and other handling charges that are deemed necessary.
10. Students should replace books, newspapers and magazines after reading.

4.23 World Book Day Creative Competition 2022
The theme of this year is "Surrounded by the Scent of Books•Joy of Reading in 60 Years" (書香滿溢•喜閱六十).

Congratulations to 6J Gordon Kai, 6J Twinkle Wong and 6L Shirley Mui for winning the outstanding award with their book reports "Reading is Always a Good Idea", "Reading : A Journey of Treasure Hunt" and "Find Peace, Happiness and Wisdom in Books".

Ms. Winsome H.S. Lee gave the Author Talk on the topic "我的另類生死之交:解密骨頭的故事" on 19th November for S1 and S2 students through Zoom during OLE period.

講者介紹:
李衍蒨小姐於美國俄勒岡大學哲學系學士及香港中文大學人類學文學碩士畢業，隨後於英國攻讀法證學及鑑證科學研究碩士，主修法醫人類學，期間於東帝汶法證科擔任法醫人類學家及顧問，處理無人認領的人體殘骸。她在2017年出版了香港首部法醫人類學著作《屍骨的餘音——法醫人類學家為逝者發聲》，並獲選為「第29屆中學生好書龍虎榜」中學生最喜愛的10本好書之一。2018年推出《屍骨的餘音2——法醫人類學家的工作和使命》。而2019年出版的《屍骨的餘音3》為此系列的最終章，透過骸骨故事同讀者思辨人性，這本書亦獲選為中學生最喜愛的10本好書之一。而這3本書及其他李小姐既著作已在圖書館上架，歡迎同學借閲。

Chinese Book Sharing by 4L Summer Chan, Markus Ho and Cindy Long on 3rd November. The title of the book is 拉普拉斯的魔女. An accident of unpredictable death case in hot spring with a witch is the main theme of the book. Humanity, detective stories and chemical/science knowledge learnt from the book are shared by Summer, Markus and Cindy in the video.
