【Building the Future: Groundbreaking at YK Pao School Hong Kong's Kowloon Tong Campus! 🏗️】

YK Pao School Hong Kong took a historic step forward on 3 July 2026 with the official groundbreaking ceremony for its permanent campus at 4 Rose Street, Kowloon Tong. The occasion marks the beginning of construction and cements the school's unwavering commitment to delivering world-class bilingual education in Hong Kong—carrying forward the legacy of excellence established by its renowned Shanghai sister school.

🎊The ceremony unfolded with a warm welcome and inspiring addresses from the founders, Professor Anna Pao Sohmen and Mr Philip Pao Sohmen, followed by the traditional groundbreaking performed alongside representatives from the Education Bureau, District Office, and project collaborators. The proceedings continued with an eye-dotting ceremony led by the founders and the School Head, Mrs Cathy Braithwaite followed by a spirited lion dance performance—an age-old ritual to invoke blessings of good fortune upon the new development.

The unforgettable afternoon provided a wonderful opportunity for our YK Pao School Hong Kong team, VIP guests, and partner organisations to mingle and celebrate the physical foundation of our long-term educational vision📚 and the bright future of bicultural excellence in Hong Kong.

YK Pao School is proud to announce exceptional International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma results for the Class of 2026, with a 100% pass rate and an outstanding average score of 39.1 points. Four students achieved a perfect score of 45, while eight earned near-perfect scores of 44, and 50 students (39% of the cohort) scored 40 or more points. The cohort also demonstrated remarkable bilingual excellence, with 121 of 128 candidates (95%) earning the prestigious IB Bilingual Diploma in English and Chinese Language A.

We are incredibly proud of every student in the Class of 2026 for their dedication, resilience, and growth. Congratulations to our graduates, and heartfelt thanks to our teachers and families for their unwavering support. We wish our graduates every success as they embark on their exciting futures around the world.

祝贺上海包玉刚实验学校2026届学子在IB考试中交出了令人瞩目的答卷。全体学生获得IB文凭。包校39.1的平均分远超全球均分30.88，其中，4名学生获得满分45分，8名学生获得近满分的44分，50名学生（占年级总人数的39%）获得40分及以上。更值得一提的是，在128名考生中有121名学生（占年级总人数的95%）成功获得了IB英文与中文语言A双语文凭。

The countdown to our historic first day of school is officially on! ✨ We were absolutely thrilled to welcome our founding parents to the Kowloon East Campus for our exclusive IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Introductory Workshop: "The Power of Inquiry - Learning Together".

Led by our IB PYP Coordinator, Ms Anna Merren, and Admissions & Academic Programme Coordinator, Ms Cathy Chen, this inspiring session brought our curriculum to life and demonstrated how an inquiry-based curriculum prepares students for an ever-changing world. Our guided tours offered an exciting first look at the facilities designed to nurture our unique bicultural learning environment. Parents had the opportunity to explore our brand new spaces, meet our dedicated team, and experience first-hand where our students will soon learn and grow.

Every corner of our campus has been intentionally crafted to create an inspiring and warm environment📚, from purpose-built interior finishes to versatile furniture that perfectly supports IB-style collaborations and presentations. To celebrate our local context, we have also specially named each classroom and learning area after different districts and places across Hong Kong.
