This is the first prototype of a new student project. STEM students will get to design, build and code their own remote controlled hovercraft using provided supplies.

Have been working with Cesar Jung-Harada along with the MakerBay crew the past few weeks on getting his creation, the Ocean Imagineer successfully floating and doing science.

It's a large, floating art piece in North Point, with on board biological, chemistry and weather experiments. It was a blast to make and will only be there for the rest of the month (if tonights typhoon doesn't take it out) so pop down and have a look.

I've just released a game development tutorial for anyone who want's to learn some extra coding over the summer.

In this video I go through making the basics of a prototype farming game. We create a 3D model of a cow and give it some basic AI to teach it how to eat grass. The grass gets smaller as it's eaten and will grow back.

Extra credit for anyone who improves on the basic design. Extra extra credit if you can make a cow more beautiful than Mr Jakes!

Hello! Meet my new pet WiFi Spiderbot.

He takes the legs from a simple robotics kit and has a 3D printed chassis, independently controlled motors and an ESP32 WiFi and Bluetooth enabled microcontroller hacked into in. It's cool, isn't it?

We had a great time with Dr. Jake yesterday.
