The North Wing rooftop finally opened for our Year 4-6 students! It was fantastic to see their happy excited faces when they went up for break and lunch. This is our 5th playground upgrade in 3 years and it shows what can be done with everyone works together! From the ground-floor adventure area to the upgraded Traffic Town for our early years students, the calm and chilled Octagonal area, the North wing rooftop and the brilliantly PTA designed and funded East Wing garden rooftop, our students from Year 1 to 6 are loving the new variety and choice.

The energy in the Hall was electric this morning as 21 members of our Battle of the Books Club went head-to-head in a high-stakes, House vs. House showdown!
To prepare for this ultimate test, these Year 5 and 6 students had to read and deeply master 20 assigned books to answer rapid-fire questions.
Watched on by Year 4 and 5 students, Phoenix House put on a masterclass performance and emerged victorious! Huge congratulations to all our competitors for their incredible dedication to literacy and team spirit!

Woweewow! The Year 3s put on an amazing Art Exhibition which was a culmination of their "How We Express Ourselves" unit of inquiry. They worked on developing their art skills and techniques which they then used to produce artwork, sharing their creativity, feelings and ideas with the school community and their parents who came to visit! We hope you enjoy admiring these works as much as we have!

This week, our Year 3s welcomed ex-West Island School student Nick Tsao to talk about maps and how they reflect changes over time. He showed us how Kennedy School has changed over 180 years with side by side photographs of Pokfulam - first mapped by British settlers in 1841, all the way to 2025. Can you tell by looking at the maps that the land Kennedy School now sits on used to be in the ocean? What do you think Kennedy School will look like 180 years from now?
