Working together with ESF West Island School to deliver the best for our students! 💪

From primary through to secondary education, ESF Kennedy School and ESF West Island School work in close partnership to ensure a seamless transition for every child. As part of the English Schools Foundation 英基學校協會 community, we foster an inclusive, supportive environment where students build deep connections, grow in confidence, and develop a lifelong passion for learning.

Before their official start at West Island School, Kennedy School students and their parents take part in a comprehensive programme that gets them ready for the transition to secondary school. These include a series of transition sessions by the leadership and pastoral teams from both schools and former Kennedy School students, followed by specialised workshops and taster lessons at West Island School for students to experience secondary school life.

Once Kennedy School students go from being the oldest in the school to being the youngest at West Island School, their care continues with scheduled meet-ups by the Kennedy School leadership team and teachers to share their experiences and celebrate their ongoing progress.

Across this entire educational journey, shared learning experiences and celebratory events foster leadership, build empathy, and create strong, lasting bonds between year groups.

Discover how the ESF all-through journey supports your child at every stage. Visit our school websites today to book a campus tour or explore application details.

Last week, the school spent the week celebrating Isabella Potter, a current student in Year 5. Isabella has spent most of the academic year battling leukemia and is now working her way back to health and to school. To show community, raise awareness and funds for her care, Isabella created a choice board where students could make bracelets, origami, and sketching, all selected and introduced by her. The week of community building ended with a fundraising day where everyone dressed in blue! To learn more about Isabella’s condition and how you can help, please click on the link in the bio.

Today was ESF Transition Day. While the Year 6s went off to secondary school and the incoming Year 1s came to visit, the current Year 1s got to spend their day in the Year 6 classrooms and play areas. It was their first time there and they were beyond excited!
