TQUK Managing Director Andrew Walker and our ESEA team had the privilege of visiting Guangzhou to continue vital dialogues regarding UK-China cooperation in vocational education. This trip came at the generous invitation of Mr. Du Minqi, Director-General of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security (HRSS), building upon the momentum of our successful London meeting in June when we hosted his esteemed delegation.

TQUK 董事總經理 Andrew Walker 與東亞及東南亞團隊，應 廣東省人力資源和社會保障廳 廳長杜敏琪先生 之誠邀，遠赴廣州進行回訪，延續雙方於六月倫敦會面時所建立的合作基礎，並就中英職業教育範疇之協作展開更深入對話。

To gain deeper insights into the region's technical training landscape, our three-day itinerary included comprehensive visits to three leading educational institutions in Guangzhou city:

🔹Guangdong Provincial Light Industry Technician College

為深入了解華南地區的技術培訓發展現況，團隊於三日行程中，獲安排走訪廣州市三所極具代表性的重點院校，包括：

🔹廣州市機電技師學院
🔹廣東省輕工業技師學院

The major highlight of the trip occurred on 26 August during a bilateral meeting between the two governments. Attendees included Mr Gary Hunt, Chief Consul of Trade and Investment at the British Consulate-General Guangzhou, and Mr. Du Minqi, Director-General of the Guangdong Provincial HRSS, alongside the directors and division heads from the municipal HRSS bureaus of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Nansha. During the discussions, multiple short-, medium-, and long-term targets for this cooperation were established, and will be strategically implemented across these key municipalities within Guangdong Province.

是次行程的重頭戲，當數8月26日舉行的中英雙邊座談會。英國駐廣州總領事館貿易投資參贊 韓睿先生 (Gary Hunt)、廣東省人社廳廳長杜敏琪先生，以及來自廣州、深圳、南沙各人社局的局長和處長們 亦親身出席，陣容鼎盛。會上，雙方就中英職業教育合作訂立了多項短、中、長期發展目標，並落實將有關計劃於廣東省內重點城市逐步推行，務求將合作成果輻射至整個大灣區。

This partnership marks a significant milestone for TQUK as we continue to champion global educational standards and foster international workforce mobility. We look forward to sharing more updates as these exciting initiatives begin to take shape.

Following our London meeting, TQUK ESEA office proudly hosted a nine-member Guangdong HRSS delegation between July 23-24, led by Director Zhang Taihai. Advancing the initiatives set by Director-General Du Minqi during his June visit to the UK, the delegation included senior officials from the provincial HRSS and the Guangzhou and Shenzhen municipal bureaus. In-depth talks were held on rolling out TQUK’s qualifications in Guangdong and establishing sustainable models for UK-China vocational education cooperation.
7月23-24日，繼倫敦會晤後，TQUK 香港辦事處 榮幸接待由 廣東省人社廳職業能力建設處 張太海處長 率領之九人代表團。團員涵蓋省人社廳及廣州、深圳兩市人社局多位處長與主任，分別來自職建處、交流合作處、技評處、職業技能服務指導中心、以及職建指導中心等單位蒞臨指導。是次訪問是為延續 杜敏琪廳長 於6月倫敦之行後所指示之調研工作，雙方就 TQUK 資歷認證在廣東省的落地推進，以及中英職業教育合作之可行模式，進行了更為具體且深入的對話。

During their stay, the delegation also visited three TQUK partner institutions in Hong Kong across various sectors—the Hong Kong College of Technology (Cybersecurity), Empathy Beauty (Postnatal Care), and the HK International Academy of InnoTech (Civil Engineering). These practical, on-site exchanges regarding talent development and accreditation were highly productive, further strengthening the collaborative consensus between both parties.
訪問期間，我方亦陪同代表團實地走訪三間 TQUK 香港合作院校，涵蓋不同領域，包括 港專學院及香港專業進修學校 - 港專（網絡安全）、 Empathy產前產後專業治療師 （產後護理）及 香港創科國際學院（土木工程），就人才培養與職業認證之實務經驗進行現場觀摩與座談，雙方坦誠交流心得，收穫甚豐，進一步鞏固共識。

2026 世界數字教育大會 圓滿落幕！ 🌐

The conference set a high bar from the start, opened by a keynote speech from 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚, 𝐇𝐚𝐧 𝐙𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐠, which underscored the global importance of digital transformation in education.
大會由 #中國國家副主席 #韓正 的致辭揭開序幕，深刻展現了數字化教育變革中的全球戰略地位。

Our Marketing Director, Daniel, was honoured to participate in a high-level roundtable session with over 100 education leaders and experts from across the globe—including the UK, Germany, New Zealand, the US, Singapore, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Cameroon, and Canada.
TQUK東亞及南亞市場總監 Daniel 受邀出席 WDEC 一場非常有份量的圓桌論壇，與來自英國、德國、新西蘭、美國、新加坡、馬來西亞、烏茲別克斯坦、越南、喀麥隆及加拿大等國家的 100 多位教育領袖與專家 共話未來。

During the session, Daniel shared TQUK’s recent development and achievement in the region, notably that TQUK’s Caregiving and Elderly Care qualifications were the first-ever overseas vocational qualifications to receive official recognition in China. He also showcased our strategic partnerships with Sunny Sister Group and Liyang Shenzhou, highlighting how the "Liyang Yulu" AI model is empowering the next generation of high-skill healthcare professionals. Looking ahead, we discussed the upcoming 𝐕 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬—often called the "A Levels of vocational education"—which are set to redefine global standards by 2027. As part of the AQA Group—which holds over 60% of the UK’s GCSEs and A Levels market—we are fully committed to making sure international vocational training remains standard-led but data-driven.

Another standout moment during WDEC was the high-level meeting at the UK Pavilion, where Daniel had the honour of speaking to the 𝐔𝐊 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐏, sharing TQUK’s impact and successful journey in China. The Minister showed a keen interest in our rapid development and the impactful achievements we’ve realised in East and South Asia, reinforcing the strong educational ties between the UK and international markets.

Excited to share a positive update from Sri Lanka! 🇱🇰

Today, our Marketing Director had the privilege of being invited by Mr. Manjula Vidanapathirana, Director at Sri Lanka’s Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission ( ), for a meeting at his office in Colombo. It was a great opportunity to introduce TQUK’s globally recognised, award-winning qualifications and our vision for supporting skills development and workforce excellence across the country. The discussion was constructive and focused on how TQUK can align with Sri Lanka’s national priorities and contribute to the future growth of the TVET sector.

We are proud to share that the University of Hertfordshire (UH) has officially recognised several TQUK qualifications for direct entry into their undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (Year 1-3 and Master’s Level), valid for admissions in the academic years 2026/27, 2027/28, and 2028/29. Holders of the selected TQUK qualifications can now apply for advanced entry (subject to meeting any additional requirements, such as English language proficiency).
