It's so neat when we finish a book and the author actually takes time to respond. A group on Monday evening has recently finished 'Holes' by Louis Sachar and he actually took the time to respond.

I hope one day we can connect with an author for a zoom call where we can ask questions and discover more!

Sometimes it can be really frustrating when you have an idea of something and it never really works out the way you want it to. So follow what this girl does, take a walk...do something else...spend time away so you can clear your head. You might just come back with a better view of what you've done and how you can realize your dream.

SOLO (Smiles On Lights Out) is not just about getting ready for bed, we also choose books that help children through challenges they may face on their journey through life. In the most recent episode the book "The Bad Seed" explores how to handle emotions when things don't go your way. Letting go of grudges and past troubles is something that even The Bad Seed can over come.

So if you find your child having trouble dealing with their emotions or holding onto negatives experiences, tune in to our most recent episode tonight to help explore and explain difficult emotions.

Brand new Spotify Episode is live! Final episode in our Dr. Seuss series.

'If I Ran The Zoo' https://open.spotify.com/episode/2BV8XKqGJV5sHJsvq48ndy?si=0a3ea46eaa934f49

This is the type of book I would suggest to families. It presents great opportunities to practise phonetics with non-sense words (typical of Dr. Seuss). In addition to that there are so many open ended questions that can be asked. In the end, this is really what you want to achieve, have your child become confident with their current language skills to get them applying it on their own.
