【停止time out兒童】邱振明
有導師教家長Time out 1、2歲的孩子，實在令人驚訝！Time out，有譯暫停時間，或以頑皮角落、冷靜角落、思考角落等名稱出現，都是當孩子破壞某些規矩，家長或老師就指令他坐在一角，望他靜思己過，甚至面壁思過。3歲坐3分鐘、4歲坐4分鐘，罰坐一會、道歉、擁抱過後就可繼續玩。如不服從又再重新計時。

　　試想如你是1、2歲的孩子給強迫time out，會靜思己過嗎？不會！無意識的嬰幼兒只會覺得遭遺棄。在0至3歲最需要依附的時候卻遭遺棄，只會心生恐懼、無助、如反抗無用則放棄。請大家千萬不要time out 0至3歲嬰幼兒了。

　　其實對任何年紀也不要time out了。即使美其名正面time out，也是一種懲罰，以對孩子不當行為起威懾作用，並令其暫時失去自由。但現實往往無效，不久又故態復萌。3歲的孩子打人，你指令他time out坐一會後，不見得這打人衝動會消失，他也不會思考不當行為，也難以明白打人與time out的關係。反而會怪罪成人懲罰，不明白了解他，以致心生怨恨而反叛，另一極端則會覺得無力反抗而退縮。

　　蒙特梭利教育中毋須time out。很多時不當行為出現前成人已留意到，並正面地疏導。如上述打人等不當行為出現了，我們更要給孩子關注而非懲罰。其中一個方法是先截停以免繼續傷害，並正面地引導他認識其不當行為，說：「我不要你打人，他會痛，看看，他哭了。」然後引導他練習適當行為：「我們可以說出來或輕輕摸來告訴他。」繼而請打人的孩子拿紙巾給被打的抹眼淚，引導他做工作，雙手有事幹，腦袋就運作，情緒也平復。

對象：13個月至20個月嬰幼兒(已識行)及一位家長／監護人
日期：2026年9月25日（星期五）
地點：九龍塘森麻實道8號 香港兒童無限學校
試堂時段：
第一節：上午9:00–10:00
第二節：上午11:00–中午12:00
活動安排：
孩子由老師帶領體驗蒙特梭利課堂。
家長由本校主任帶領，學習如何觀察孩子，並了解蒙特梭利理念及育兒實踐。
名額：每節限 8 組家庭。
費用：每節 HK$300。

Children will participate in a Montessori class led by our teachers.
Parents will attend a session led by our Centre Supervisor, learning how to observe their child while gaining an understanding of Montessori philosophy and practical parenting approaches.
Capacity: Maximum of 8 families per session.

【做大仔好過做細仔？蒙特梭利混齡班沒這問題】邱振明
　　小一派位開始交表，遲一年入學做「大仔」好嗎？以報讀下年度小一為例，2021年或以前出生的，可參加政府小一派位。2020年尾或2021年頭出生的就是大仔，比年尾出生的「細仔」大一年之多。兒童愈細，相差一年的發展差距就愈明顯。

　　有家長想孩子做大仔，原因之一，是反對一些小學跳級授課：一年班讀二年班的課程，每天要做功課溫習至深夜，每周測驗默書，學業壓力太大。如成績不好，孩子自我形象低落，在德智體群美等各方面發展亦可受影響。在學校課程跳級的情況下，做大仔則反而變成適齡。

　　研究亦發現做大仔較好。多倫多大學E. Dhuey等學者對社會經濟背景相似的學生，進行了大型追蹤研究，發現在整個求學階段至大學，大仔比細仔各方面表現都較佳，入大學比率也較高，而細仔較大機會在青少年時犯案。當然，個別差異還是有的，有些細仔的表現很好，心理年齡和能力高於生理年齡。家長教師須按個別情況判斷，另外大仔比其他孩子年長太多也不宜。

　　分齡制度下，細仔永遠是細仔。蒙特梭利的混齡班是解決方法之一，例如6至9歲的孩子混在同一教室，老師在群體中個別教學，每人按自己步伐發展。孩子之間也會互相學習，細仔模仿大仔，大仔做小老師教細仔，每人都有機會做跟隨者和領袖。

　　一些較內向的孩子，3歲入學時還沉默寡言，尤其是在團體時間，即使小組活動時，也是觀察模仿為多。經過一年建構自己，到4歲就自然有信心成為小老師帶3歲，與同齡溝通亦愈來愈好。這是混齡班的好處。

　　所以蒙特梭利混齡班就沒有這個問題。

【十分感動！來自畢業生家長最真摯的分享 ❤️ 】（中譯本）

大家好：

我是2024 年畢業生的家長。女兒 Bethany 在 Infinity 畢業後，小一（25/26 學年）就讀於香港新加坡國際學校，最近我們搬回新加坡，她轉入了當地的一所本地小學。

剛才我接到了她老師的電話，誇讚她才開學短短兩週，就適應得非常出色。

她能獨立處理所有的功課、聽寫（Spelling）和測驗複習，這一切都歸功於 Infinity 教會了她自主獨立。感謝 Infinity 所有老師、Uncle Ralph
以及黃校長。

我真希望我的另外三個孩子（我有四個孩子，老大今年 16 歲）也能有幸體驗 Infinity 的歷程。
