Building on the inspiring masterclasses and workshops from our Y10 Career Day, the learning continued with an interactive booth session where our students connected directly with our Alumni and Parent volunteers. From Law and Finance to Art, Music, Tech and Medicine, students explored a wide range of industries, asking questions and discovering paths they had never considered.

This time, our students took the lead behind the microphone, voicing the big questions on their minds. What really matters at 15 that won't later on? How do you keep learning when there are no more exams? 💡

Our guest mentors shared candid, invaluable wisdom on the power of curiosity and agency in an AI driven world, why true learning really begins after school ends and how failure is simply a natural step toward growth. Our mentors also highlighted that while exams test knowledge, it is kindness, passion and empathy that truly shape a meaningful career.

A huge thank you once again to our incredible alumni and parent community for taking the time to mentor, inspire and empower our future leaders. 🙌

What is one piece of career advice you would give your 15-year-old self? Let us know in the comments below! 👇

What does the future of work look like for our Year 10 students? 🌟

Last term, our Career Day, organised by our University Counselling team, gave them the chance to find out. The day kicked off with an incredible lineup of inspiring talks and masterclasses designed to broaden horizons and ignite new passions.

Our students had the privilege of hearing from keynote speaker Billy Tam (OWN Academy) on finding his career path through trial and error, followed by an insightful masterclass with Marvin Lin (Founder & Creative Director of SHHH Group) on blending creativity and global entrepreneurship.

The day was brought to life through dynamic, interactive workshops led by our wonderful GSIS parent and alumni volunteers, who shared their real world experiences and expertise.

We asked our Y10 students how the day shaped their thinking about the future. Here is what they had to say.

Stay tuned for Part 2, where our Alumni and Parents share more insights with our students. 🎥

We are incredibly proud of our Class of 2026 from the English International Stream. 🎓✨

All 63 students successfully completed their International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, with one student qualifying for the prestigious bilingual diploma.

The results have been truly outstanding. Eight students achieved the maximum score of 45 points, while ten students achieved 44 points. Overall, the cohort earned an impressive average of 42 points, with 75% of graduates reaching 40 points or higher.

These results reflect years of hard work, dedication and the unwavering support of our teachers and families.

As with previous years, we anticipate that final results will improve further following the conclusion of the re-mark process in the coming weeks.

To our graduates: you have made GSIS proud. We cannot wait to see where your journeys take you next. 💛

Something magical happened at GSIS when our Drama ECA students brought Roald Dahl’s The Witches to life on stage! 🧙🎭

The production was a true showcase of creativity, teamwork and imagination. Our cast captivated audiences with their humour, confidence and impeccable timing in an unforgettable night of theatre magic.

Behind the scenes, the dedication of our crew, teachers and parent volunteers helped transform our Drama Studio into a world of spells, potions and surprises. Every detail from fantastical costumes to spooky lighting, special effects and surprise musical numbers, all contributed to an atmosphere of pure enchantment.

A huge congratulations to the entire cast and crew for their hard work, passion and professionalism throughout the process. You embodied the spirit of collaboration and creativity that makes GSIS Drama so special.

Thank you to everyone who came to support and cheer us on. We can’t wait to see what next year’s productions will bring… until then, beware of witches! 🪄✨

Stepping up to Secondary is a huge milestone and our students from both streams are officially ready! ✨

K04 students from the German International Stream recently took part in an action-packed Transition Day. Our current K05 classes stepped in to share their top tips and experiences before everyone teamed up for creative group projects. The adventure continued with a campus wide rally, led by our wonderful K09 students and wrapped up with a highly competitive (and very fun!) game of Brennball.

Meanwhile, our incoming Year 7 students from the English International Stream had their own transition experience. They jumped into interactive preview lessons across Drama, Science, Maths, Geography and Art. From collaborative games to hands on experiments and creative clay figurines, they got a realistic preview of life in the English Secondary Department.

Meeting their prospective teachers helped ease moving up anxieties and based on the enthusiasm across both groups, these students are fully prepared for the step up to Secondary. We cannot wait to see them thrive in the next chapter of their GSIS journey. 💛

Dragon Boat Festival might be over but the spirit of our GSIS Dragon Boat team is not! 🐉🌊

Stepping into the boat is a thrilling adventure that goes far beyond competitive racing. Every practice offers a unique chance to explore beautiful, remote corners of the Hong Kong coastline, turning training into wonderful moments of discovery.

The heart of the team is its people. It is inspiring to see our parents, alumni and staff paddling side by side, perfectly in sync. These shared journeys build wonderful friendships across the community and strengthen the special bonds that tie our school together.

One team, one rhythm, one incredible community!
