BSc(IEM)&BEd(SCI) orientation wrapped up on 12 August. ✨

The session kicked off with a programme introduction by programme leader Dr Chan Chi keung, followed by a group discussion that gave Year 1 and Year 2 students the chance to connect and get to know one another. SES teachers also joined in to meet and chat with our new students. 🎊

由香港教育大學牽頭成立的粵港澳高校中小學STEAM教育聯盟，於粵港澳高校聯盟十周年年會暨校長論壇上獲頒 「2025年度優秀專業聯盟」 證書，以表彰聯盟在推動高等教育協同發展、人才培育、資源共享及教育創新等方面的卓越貢獻。
聯盟由香港教育大學、華南師範大學及澳門大學於2025年共同成立，匯聚粵港澳三地STEAM教育專家，透過舉辦學術論壇、教師專業發展活動、學生創新實踐項目，以及推動教育資源共享與跨地域交流合作，促進STEAM教育理論研究與實踐創新，提升師生的創新思維、科技素養及跨學科應用能力。
STEAM教育聯盟由香港教育大學、華南師範大學及澳門大學組成，聯盟委員會成員包括：委員會主任、教大副校長（學術）鄭美紅教授、委員科學與環境學系何詠基教授及李偉展博士，匯聚粵港澳三地STEAM教育專家，透過舉辦學術論壇、教師專業發展活動、學生創新實踐項目，以及推動教育資源共享與跨地域交流合作，促進STEAM教育理論研究與實踐創新，提升師生的創新思維、科技素養及跨學科應用能力。
在論壇期間，香港教育大學副校長（學術）暨STEAM教育聯盟委員會主任鄭美紅教授表示：「這項殊榮肯定了聯盟成員的共同努力，也為我們深化合作注入動力。展望未來，聯盟將繼續發揮平台作用，深化三地教育協作，推動STEAM教育高質量發展。」
未來，聯盟將持續深化粵港澳三地合作，攜手培育具創新精神與跨學科能力的新一代人才，為大灣區教育高質量發展注入新動能。

2026年8月1日，[MA(EfS)] 在深圳南山舉辦了校友重聚與分享會，香港教育大學科學與環境學系署理系主任鄧文靖博士親臨現場致辭，勉勵校友在可持續發展道路上繼續前行，並歡迎更多新同學加入這個充滿活力的學術社群。

一眾畢業生聚首一堂，分享職涯經歷與發展路向。活動中，來自不同背景的校友——小學教師、ESG專才、行政助理、國際高中教師、在讀博士——真誠交流，互相啟發，充分展現課程的多元價值與強大凝聚力。

Graduates of the Master of Arts in Education for Sustainability [MA(EfS)] have embarked on a wide range of career paths 🌱

On 1 August, the programme held an alumni reunion and sharing session in Shenzhen’s Nanshan District. Dr DENG Wenjing, Acting Head of the Department of Science and Environmental Studies at EdUHK, delivered an opening address, encouraging alumni to continue their journey in sustainability and welcoming more students to join this vibrant academic community.

Alumni from diverse backgrounds — including primary school teachers, ESG professionals, administrative staff, international school educators, and doctoral students — came together to exchange experiences and insights. The event truly reflected the programme’s broad applicability and strong sense of community.

We warmly welcome new students to join the MA(EfS) programme and become part of the sustainability education movement! 📚

2026年7月30日，香港教育大學全球事務處（GAO）舉辦暑期活動，科學與環境學系（SES）參與其中，並協辦工作坊。活動透過ATP生物檢測實驗及互動AI平台，讓學生探索數學與科學的實際應用，期望啟發年輕一代對STEM的興趣與創意思維。🤖📐

On 30 July 2026, the Global Affairs Office (GAO) at EdUHK organised a summer programme for non-local secondary school students under the Mainland Principal Nomination Scheme. The Department of Science and Environmental Studies (SES) took part in the programme and provided a dedicated non-local section featuring a hands-on workshop titled “From Block to Robots: Exploring Mathematics through Hands-on Learning”. The session included ATP testing experiments and interactive AI platforms to help students explore real-world applications of mathematics and science, aiming to spark their interest and creativity in STEM. 🤖📐

【🌊 海岸實地考察體驗｜精彩回顧！】

7月18日，香港教育大學科學與環境學系舉辦的「海岸實地考察體驗」順利舉行。活動吸引來自不同中學的中四至中五學生參與，走訪大埔校園及馬料水碼頭附近海岸，親身體驗環境管理的實地研究：

🔹 海岸生態觀察與記錄
🔹 實地數據採集與分析
🔹 海洋生態系統與保護措施探討

感謝各位同學的積極參與，讓學習不限於課室，延伸至海岸邊！

【🌊 Coastal Fieldwork Experience｜ Event Recap! 】

On 18 July, the “Coastal Fieldwork Experience” organised by the Department of Science and Environmental Studies at EdUHK was successfully held. The programme welcomed Secondary 4–5 students from various local schools to explore the Tai Po Campus and the marine/coastal environment in Hong Kong, gaining hands-on experience in environmental management fieldwork:

🔹 Coastal ecosystem observation and recording
🔹 Field data collection and analysis
🔹 Exploration of marine ecosystems and conservation measures

Thank you to every participant for your full engagement — learning extended beyond the classroom and onto the shoreline!
