Unboxing something exciting for the adults division of my company, which I started in 2013!

It’s been a long, hard road to receive recognition like this.

Thank you to my clients over the years.

It has been a privilege to serve you.

Since the pandemic began I have rarely taught formal Western table manners - but I still do it for private individuals and groups upon special request.

Previously, I had taught 100s of business people.

This week a group of entrepreneurs invited me to elevate their poise and presence.

We had fun and learned something new!

If you’d like to discover how I can help you make a great impression as a host or a guest while doing business over meals, then DM me.

I’m also avilable to teach ages 7 and above.

People learn best by doing.

My students at the American Club set the table before eating lunch to help them remember correct place settings.

Want your kids to be more poised and confident when eating in other people’s homes or nice restaurants?

PM me for details.

Note: I teach only private lessons for individuals and small groups. (No public classes offered this year.)

The funniest interaction in my table manners class for 5-7 year olds this weekend: β€œMs Lee, how old are you? Are you 12 years old? 25? 27? Oh my God, you’re older than 27?!” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I’m available to teach private groups this summer. Ages 5-7, 8-12, 13-17 and adults. PM me if interested.

It’s been nearly 7 months since I taught dining etiquette classes because of the β€œfifth wave” in Hong Kong.

Today I taught a private group of 6 girls (age 8-9) for an etiquette-themed birthday party.

After all we’ve been through lately, enjoying delicious food with sweet, lively children is a welcome, joyful break!

Interested in table manners class for your private group? PM me.

Table manners classes for children have begun again at the American Club.

I taught 5-7 year olds last weekend and 8-12 year olds today.

This month’s theme: American Table Manners.

See you all next month!

3 table manners 8-12 year olds struggle with:

1. Posture at the table.

This group is taller and stronger than last week’s 5-8 year olds but they also had a tendency to let their elbows to drift up.

Gently remind them to keep their elbows near their sides when cutting and eating food.

2. In the Continental style of dining, the tines of the fork remain curved downwards at all times (cutting your food, conveying food to your mouth, resting position, and finished position).

For children who are accustomed to using the American style, this is something they need to adjust to.

3. In the Continental style of dining, keep the dinner fork and dinner knife in your hands while you’re cutting food and conveying it to your mouth.

Great job kids!
