Dear Parents and Friends of Golden Path,

As the academic year draws to a close I write to you with lots of exciting news. Firstly, the Trinity results came through and I am proud as punch to share our success with you all - another year of all Merit and Distinction grades. Thank you once again for your hard work behind the scenes; be it practicing lines or having the same Musical Theatre song stuck in your head. We could not do it without you!

As rents increase Golden Path is changing direction slightly and we are no longer keeping our premises in Tin Hau. We have decided to bring our service to you, in your homes/club houses. So gather up your friends and put a group together and we will save you all the hassle and come to you.

Helping me next year is my old colleague from Downe House, Mrs Debbie Fallon. Debbie was born and educated in the United Kingdom and has taught Drama, Theatre Studies and English for over 8 years. Debbie trained at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama and holds a Masters in Text and Performance from the internationally acclaimed The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She has an English Literature degree from Cardiff University and is a very experienced and highly qualified education practitioner. She was Director of Drama at Downe House School where she had the privilege of teaching the subject she loves and directing many school productions. She has also directed for schools in France and for a professional theatre company in America. She has an impressive track record for excellent results and sets high expectations for herself and her students. She has a love of creative writing, literature and sharing the beauty of the written word.
She has worked as an A-level Drama and Theatre Studies examiner and has performed in numerous amateur productions from a young age. Debbie has developed and delivered many public speaking courses, led workshops on communication and social skills and proudly led students through competitions in presenting, speaking and debating. Her literary background combined with her drama training enable her to equip children and adults with the essential life skills for today's highly competitive world.
Debbie is from England and has recently moved to Hong Kong with her husband and two young sons. She is passionate about education in Drama and English and is currently working as a Speech and Drama teacher for Starlit Voice, giving her the opportunity of tutoring students in many of the top international schools in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Speech Festival started yesterday and so far every single Golden Path student has won a place. We even had 3 students in the same prose speaking competition this morning for ages 5-8 years and our HKSF first timers at 5 years old won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place out of over 60 children.
Not only that but we found out yesterday that we have been awarded Hong Kong’s top centre for Trinity Guildhall again this year!
Congratulations boys and girls and keep up the good work!
