The CESHK Annual Conference will be held on February 27–28, 2027, at The University of Hong Kong, hosted by the Faculty of Education and the Comparative Education Research Centre (CERC), and co-organized with The Education University of Hong Kong Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL).

Conference theme: Comparative Education in Uncertain Times: Challenges, Responses, and Hopes.

We invite submissions that explore the evolving challenges facing comparative education at a time when societies worldwide undergo rapid transformations and multiple intersecting crises.

Submissions in English and Chinese are welcome.

Call for Proposals: Cambridge Companion on Intellectual Diversity

In a global context where academic freedom is increasingly under pressure, this edited volume seeks to critically examine the meaning, value, and politics of intellectual diversity in higher education.

Editors welcome proposals that engage philosophical, empirical, and sociopolitical perspectives—exploring its conceptual foundations, enabling conditions, and contemporary political tensions.

Abstracts due: May 1, 2026
Full manuscripts: Sept 15, 2026
Length: 6,000–7,000 words (APA style)

Contributions can address themes such as academic freedom, epistemic injustice, disciplinarity, and the politicisation of intellectual diversity.
