Glion Msc International Hospitality Business 於2022年的7月在意大利的Business Field Trip，去了Florence, Pisa 和 Vila Lena，進行了為期5天的商務考察，在這個期間學生們考察了三種不同類型的酒店，並利用酒店參觀的間隙簡單遊覽了這個文藝復興的起源地。

第一天從瑞士Bulle乘坐火車抵達Florence，入住威斯汀酒店（The Westin Excelsior Florence）。當晚和倫敦校區的同學們一起在酒店6樓的宴會廳舉辦了晚會。

酒店的總經理介紹了Westin酒店的部門分類，經營模式，如何提高客戶忠誠度以及酒店是否在意客人的在線評論等，並且帶領參學生們觀了他們酒店的設施。隨後，還參觀了Florence的瑞吉酒店(The St. Regis Florence)。

當天下午學生們乘坐2個小時大巴前往了Vila Lena山莊。在Vila Lena山莊的感覺與城市酒店完全不一樣。這個酒店就像隱匿於遠離世俗與喧囂的度假勝地。酒店創始人Lena講述她如何在眾多不被看好的情況下成立了這家酒店，並且一點點進行翻新，最終打造出這家酒店。同時她還分享了對培訓新人的看法。

在此期間，還參觀了Bagni Di Pisa酒店。這家酒店位於Pisa——沒錯，就是比薩斜塔所在地。

酒店的餐廳天花板都是歐式風格壁畫，讓人覺得置身在了皇室宮殿。酒店總經理和Spa經理為學生們介紹了他們的成功經驗、他們的競爭對手以及酒店的測評細則等豐富的主題。

這次考察中最難忘的莫過於在Vila Lena的workshop。大家除了體驗了意大利面的製作過程，還參與了葡萄酒和橄欖油的品鑑活動。教學生們製作意大利面的廚師來自西西里，他很有耐心地教他們逐步完成製作：從攪拌雞蛋到最終切片，完整細緻的體驗對第一次製作意大利面的學生們來說充滿驚喜。當然，毫無意外，學生們當天的午餐和晚餐就是自己做的意大利面。
