A wonderful morning sharing Phonics secrets! 🌟

📝 Our Head Teacher, Florence (T. Flo), was absolutely delighted to be invited by HKKKWA Sun Fong Chung Primary School to lead a parent seminar on promoting English Phonics!

During the session, T. Flo explored the common hurdles children face when revising for dictations, such as struggling to decode new words or feeling lost when trying to spell independently. She shared how mastering Phonics rules allows children to “blend” and “segment” sounds effectively, understanding spelling through sound rather than relying on rote memorisation. This transition makes reading and writing far more manageable and greatly boosts their learning confidence!

By experiencing these phonetic strategies first-hand, parents gained a deeper understanding of how to correctly support their children’s learning at home. A huge thank you to the school for having us! It is a privilege for The Classroom to continue promoting an educational philosophy that moves beyond memorisation to teaching from a fundamental, theoretical foundation. ❤️📖

📝 早前 Teacher Florence (T. Flo) 非常榮幸受「港九街坊婦女會孫方中小學」邀請，為該校家長舉辦了一場關於如何促進孩子拼讀英語的家長研討會！

研討會中，T. Flo 與家長們一起探討孩子在溫習默書時常遇到的困難，例如小朋友讀到新字時缺乏拆音能力、默書時不知道如何自行拼寫等。 T. Flo 分享了如何透過 Phonics 規律，讓孩子學會「拆音」與「拼合」，透過聲音理解拼寫，而非單靠「死記硬背」，令英文讀寫變得更輕鬆、更有自信！
