還記得小時候寫遊記，只會寫“It was very hot.”、“I was cold.” 嗎？
在我們的 Young Writer 課堂上，孩子們正在學習一項魔法——Show, Don't Tell（展示，不說教）。
上週的主題是 「Where in the World」，我們帶著孩子用文字「神遊」了三個截然不同的世界：
🌴 悶熱潮濕、生機勃勃的亞馬遜雨林
❄️ 寂靜冰冷、讓骨頭顫抖的南極大陸
🚢 充滿柴油味與文化碰撞的香港天星小輪
來看看學生們是怎麼寫的——他們不說“It was hot”，而是寫：
“The sunrays were as hot as a burning fire, and moist, warm air made sweat roll down my flushed cheeks.”
他們不說“It was cold”，而是寫：
“The cold air made my bones shiver and the rest of my body stiff and numb.”
當孩子學會用細節、動作和感官來刻畫場景，寫作就不再是擠不出字的痛苦，而是揮灑創意的享受。
