Today we’re diving into the second page of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.🎻

Keeping it at a slow tempo to lock in the intonation and bowing patterns. It takes patience, but this is where the real progress happens.

Teaching the Mendelssohn E Minor isn’t just about the solo line—it’s about understanding how that line fits into the full symphonic texture. 🎼
In lesson 1/100, we are stripping it back to a slow tempo. I’m playing the 2nd violin part to help my student lock in the pulse and hear the inner harmonies of the first page.
