But actually, church feels like home not only because of the place, but because of the people. BIG shoutout to our hospitality ministry who make Saddleback so homey for us! 🏠💛

📝 最難交託的一件事

親愛的馬鞍峰教會家人,
生命的奉獻，不是一場要通過的考驗，而是一個信任的邀請。

在剛過去的主日，我們一同思想「慷慨」這個主題，不是看成一種責任，而是一面讓我們看見內心真正信靠所在的鏡子。安迪牧師的分享很到位：我們很樂意把生命中不同範疇交託給上帝，但金錢，總是我們最後才願意鬆手的一環。這其實很正常。金錢與現實掛鈎，交出來，似乎總帶著風險。

但讓我特別有感受的是，上帝從來不是在要求甚麼，而是在發出邀請。祂渴望我們甘心樂意地回應祂。即使我們未準備好，即使心裡依然猶豫，都沒有關係。祂不是等我們完全想通之後，才讓我們來到祂面前，而是邀請我們把這一切真實地帶到祂面前。

帶著疑問來，可以。帶著掙扎來，也可以。祂對我們的成長過程始終充滿耐心。

這星期，我想邀請你花一點時間，反思自己在「慷慨」這件事上的位置。沒有壓力，也沒有清單，只是誠實地來到上帝面前，問一個簡單的問題：「在這個範疇上，我可以如何多信靠祢一步？」

📝 The Hardest Thing to Hand Over

Dear Saddleback Family,
Generosity isn’t a test to pass — it’s an invitation to trust.

This past Sunday, we reflected together on generosity, not as a responsibility, but as a mirror that reveals where our hearts truly place their trust. Pastor Andy’s message was so on point: we may be willing to entrust different areas of life to God, but money is often the last thing we are willing to loosen our grip on. That is actually very normal. Money is tied to real-life needs, and handing it over can feel risky.

But what especially struck me is this: God is not demanding something from us; He is extending an invitation. He longs for us to respond to Him willingly. Even if we are not ready yet, even if there is still hesitation in our hearts, that is okay. He does not wait for us to have everything figured out before we come to Him. Instead, He invites us to bring all of it honestly before Him.

Come with your questions. Come with your struggle. He is patient with our process of growth.

This week, I want to invite you to take a little time to reflect on where you are when it comes to generosity. No pressure and no checklist; just come honestly before God and ask one simple question: In this area, how can I take one more step toward trusting You?

男人好多時候覺得要「死撐」，獨自承擔屋企嘅一切。其實，除咗一家之主，佢地都係神心愛嘅兒子。

透過教會嘅男人事工，有弟兄生命慢慢被改變——神嘅光喺佢心入面漸漸散發，照亮佢嘅生命。

所以今日，邀請你同我哋一齊為男人事工祈禱——
願每位弟兄靠著神有力量同喜樂；
願他們因為耶穌的愛而合一；
生命結出果子，成為世人的見證。🌟👬

Men often feel they must “hold it all together,” carrying the weight of providing for their families alone. Yet, that aside, they are beloved sons of God.

Through Men’s Ministry, their lives are slowly being transformed—God’s light renews and restores their hearts, illuminating their lives from within.

So today, we invite you to pray for Men’s Ministry—
May every brother be strengthened with joy through God’s love; May they be united through Jesus’ love; May their lives bear fruit and shine as witnesses to the world. 🌟👬

願他們在服侍中滿有喜樂，心裡不疲乏；願每一位受浸者深深感受到被愛與被記念；也願更多生命被更新——一切榮耀都歸給耶穌。🙏🏻

Day 28! Today, let's pray for our Baptism Ministry. 🙏🏻
Behind every baptism is a team that shows up early, stays late, and serves with a quiet and faithful heart. They may not be in the spotlight — but in every moment someone steps into the water, their love and care is part of it.

Pray that they would find deep joy in serving, and that their hearts would not grow weary. Pray that every baptisee would feel truly seen and loved. And pray that more and more lives would be transformed — all glory to Jesus. 🙏🏻
