โ€œDuring my internship at Kerry Logistics in Singapore, I gained valuable insights into the fast-paced logistics industry. My responsibilities ranged from handling shipment documentation for inbound goods to coordinating order fulfilment for outbound operations. This practical experience enabled me to develop proficiency in logistics software and deepen my understanding of customs regulations, especially regarding controlled goods.

I actively sought to identify and address operational inefficiencies, which contributed to improved accuracy and efficiency for key clients. The role challenged my problem-solving skills as I worked closely with part-time staff, vendors, and drivers to overcome daily obstacles. My supervisor commended my dependability, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.
By embracing new challenges and building positive relationships within the team, I enhanced both my technical and soft skills. This internship not only strengthened my professional capabilities but also underscored the critical role of effective communication and teamwork in successful logistics operations.โ€
Zhu Yingfan, a BBA (Hons) Supply Chain Management & Analytics with a Secondary Major in Aida student, completed an internship at Kerry Logistics, Singapore.

Shaanxi Jimeixian is a leader in high-tech cherry cultivation, integrating robotics and AI to advance smart agriculture and address labour shortages. Their partnerships with universities and technology firms, such as Zhiqin Technology, drive innovation in fruit-processing automation.

During my internship, I was assigned to Zhiqin Technology, where I engaged in technical research, conceptual design, and agricultural data analysis. Jingyu, an Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate from the Faculty of Engineering from the Chinese Mainland, reflected on his exchange semester at the University of Waterloo in Canada. The experience not only broadened his horizons but also reshaped his understanding of learning, helping him gradually appreciate the meaning of lifelong learningโœจ.

โ€œStudent exchange took me beyond the familiar rhythm of campus life and introduced me to a very different approach to learning. In a new environment, I began to understand what it truly means to learn for myself. I also realised that overcoming oneself is more important than overcoming others, and that learning should not simply be driven by competition or othersโ€™ expectations. The freedom to explore, make choices and take responsibility for my own growth helped me appreciate the meaning of lifelong learningโ€”learning is not only part of life, but can also be integrated into everyday living and become life itself๐Ÿ’ก.

Beyond the classroom, I experienced the warmth of Canadaโ€™s people and its natural beauty๐Ÿ”๏ธ: the spectacular Niagara Falls and Rocky Mountains, skiing at Blue Mountainโ›ท๏ธ, unexpectedly coming across an ice hockey teamโ€™s training session on campus, and the kindness of classmates who walked a long way through the slushy snow. Every experience made this exchange journey an unforgettable chapter of my life๐Ÿค. Student exchange is more than studying in another placeโ€”it is an opportunity to encounter different perspectives, step outside your comfort zone and discover new possibilities๐ŸŽ“.โ€
