Under the theme “Alliance for Action”, Hong Kong Culture and Sustainability Conference 2026 highlights the importance of international alliances and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

At Panel 1 - Alliance and Action, Dr Lisa Burger, CBE and Paddy Dillon, Co-founders of Theatre Green Book; Simon Curtis, Convenor of Greater Manchester Arts Sustainability Team (GMAST); and sustainability practitioners from European theatre and higher education institutions will share first-hand experiences of how the cultural sector has responded to climate change and the energy crisis in different parts of the world. The discussion will also explore how partners can collaborate and share responsibilities in practice.

👏祝賀舞蹈學院舞蹈碩士 (主修編舞) 的應屆畢業生吳欣昱及歐陽靖，憑作品《VEX》在2026年湖南長沙第六屆半山舞人藝術周「首屆原創編舞大賽」中榮獲「最佳創作獎」。✨

《VEX》 經過線上作品甄選及現場演出評審兩輪嚴謹的評選，最終獲國際及內地知名編舞家、製作人組成的專業評審團一致肯定，於眾多優秀作品中脫穎而出。🎉

作品以身體作為抗衡、蛻變與重生的載體。透過充滿原始而富有質感的肢體語言，在動物與人性之間穿梭游移。舞者以強烈而真摯的肢體表達，體現痛苦與愉悅、掙扎與渴望，探索生命中持續自我更新的內在動力。🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️

是次獲獎充分展現兩位畢業生在藝術創作上的勇氣、創意與堅持。學院期望他們在編舞創作的道路上持續探索，以獨特的舞蹈語言開拓更多可能。👊🏻

🙌Huge congratulations to HKAPA's Dance MFA (Choreography) graduands Wu Xinyu and Ouyang Jing, whose piece "VEX" won Best Choreography Award at the 2026 Mid-Mountain Dancers Original Choreography Competition during Changsha Art Week!

Selected through a rigorous two-stage process comprising online screening and live performance evaluation, "VEX" stood out among numerous outstanding entries and earned unanimous recognition from a professional jury of international and national choreographers and producers.

The work explores the body as a site of rebellion, transformation, and renewal. Through raw, textured movement, "VEX" navigates the space between instinct and humanity: confronting pain, pleasure, struggle, and the impulse towards continual self-renewal. 🐣

💜 This achievement is a true testament to the creativity, courage and dedication to their craft. We hope they will continue to explore new directions on their choreography journey, using their unique dance language to unlock even more possibilities! 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️

Earlier, we shared news of Junior Music Programme student Aidan Chow heading to Hungary. We are proud to share that that Aidan has successfully returned following a memorable performance! 🎶🎹

At the IX International Liszt Ferenc Competition & Eger Concerto Festival 2026, Aidan performed the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, K.488 alongside the Eger Symphony Orchestra. 👏🏻👏🏻

🤗 Congratulations to Aidan on gaining such valuable international stage experience — we look forward to seeing his continued growth and future musical breakthroughs! 🎉🌟
