【STEM 非凡前路】報告建議推動跨學科協作

課程發展議會於2015年底公佈《推動STEM教育-發揮創意潛能》，指出本地學科課程偏重學科學習，而較少參與實際「動手」的活動，建議本地中、小學可增強學生綜合和應用跨學科知識與技能的能力。

STEM教育提倡全方位學習，並分為學科自身整合、學科整合、科際整合及超學科整合等四種程度。報告鼓勵學校以學習者為中心，學校教師透過加強協調推動跨學科協作，幫助學生透過綜合及應用不同學科所得的知識，成功解決真實情境裡遇到的困難。

【The Future of STEM】Report Recommends to Promote Interdisciplinary Collaboration

At the end of 2015, the Curriculum Development Council announced the "Promotion on STEM Education – Unleashing Potential in Innovation". The report pointed out that school curriculum always focuses on disciplinary studies while lack hands-on experience. The report recommended that local primary and secondary schools can enhance students' ability on a more comprehensive level, yet being able to apply inter-disciplinary knowledge and skills.

STEM Education advocates life-wide learning and can be divided into four levels: disciplinary, multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary. The report encourages student-centered learning and promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration with student-teachers' coordination, allowing students to solve real-life difficulties by integrating and applying knowledge from different disciplines.

【11100 創意冠軍盃】最後召集！

緊張！刺激！『第一屆 11100 足球機械人創意冠軍盃』將於本星期日舉行。參賽隊伍由兩名隊員組成，操控自己製作嘅 MRT 足球機械人上場比賽。

【STEM非凡前路】自半歲起接觸STEM教育

加州理工學院附屬幼稚園創辦人伍德早於20年前開始研究結合學科和兒童興趣的幼教課程，並發展出ECSTEM（Early Childhood STEM）概念應用至幼稚園當中。

伍德指出嬰兒天性好奇、喜歡探索世界，正正與科學家的特質相同，他將學科的基本概念融入至遊戲當中，讓園內學童自6個月大開始接觸STEM課程，並在教室內擺設了量杯、漏斗等作為教具，讓學童隨時隨地處於STEM的學習氛圍當中。

【Future of STEM】Learning STEM from 6 months old

Susan Wood, the founder of the Children's Center at Caltech (CCC), attempted to combine the discipline and children's interest in preschool education 20 years ago. She developed the ECSTEM (Early Childhood STEM) concept and achieved exceptional results by applying the concept on CCC.

Wood stated that infants and scientists are alike since they are both curious and like to explore the unexpected. By integrating the discipline's basic concepts into the game, she started the STEM education for 6-month-old children at CCC. Besides, she prepared STEM tools such as the measuring cup or funnel in the classroom to provide a great STEM atmosphere for the young ones.

【11100課程】「潛能啟迪」課程報名最後召集！

11100教育「潛能啟迪」課程專為學童而設，由外藉教師以全英語及2比8小班教學形式授課，教材則選用國際性機械人教育品牌MRT，培養學童透過思考和創意解決疑難。

「潛能啟迪」課程內容分為三個階段，包括應用電子零件、搭建「機械」模型等等，深入淺出地將STEM理念紮根。課程即將於下星期開課，立即把握最後機會，為孩子打好基礎！
