【ESF Assembly Showcase】

As we approach the last week of term, let's reflect on the recent exciting happenings across the ESF Community.

🎨 Stunning visions of the future took center stage at City Hall for the 2026 ESF Art Exhibition, which captivated visitors under this year’s inspiring theme, ‘Tomorrow.’ The gallery proudly showcased over 150 imaginative artworks created by our talented students spanning from Pre-K to Year 13. Adding to the creative diversity, ESF Explore made its first appearance at the exhibition with a collaborative piece. The event beautifully reflected the artistic vision and technical skill of our young creators, making it a memorable celebration of the visual arts.

🕹️ The digital arena exploded with energy during the 2026 ESF Esports Tournament, bringing together 18 elite primary and secondary teams to face off in Minecraft’s ‘Bridge Your Friends!’. Students demonstrated incredible strategy and fast-paced collaboration throughout the brackets. In the Secondary division, ESF Renaissance College Hong Kong claimed both 1st and 2nd place, with ESF King George V School securing 3rd place. Meanwhile, the Primary division saw Peak School Hong Kong take home the championship, followed by ESF Bradbury School in 2nd and ESF Beacon Hill School in 3rd.

🧑🏻‍🍳 Things heated up in the kitchen for the ESF Chef 2026 competition at KGV, where our student chefs showcased incredible culinary creativity under the theme Year of the Fire Horse. Judged by professional chefs from Black Sheep Restaurants, junior pairs mastered flavour contrasts while senior individuals crafted "fiery" two-course menus. Gloria Wan of ESF Sha Tin College took home the Senior Championship, while Leanna Ku and Aria Seto of ESF South Island School claimed the Junior title. The event was a spectacular celebration of teamwork and culinary excellence!

🗣️ Words became weapons of wit at WIS during the 2026 ESF Chinese Debate Competition, which brought together eight secondary schools to showcase exceptional eloquence, teamwork, and critical thinking. Debaters tackled complex, real-world topics — from university major selection to the impact of AI on language learning — impressing the audience with their advanced Chinese fluency. Following a series of highly competitive rounds, ESF Discovery College emerged as the tournament Champion, followed by Singapore International School in 2nd place, ESF Renaissance College Hong Kong in 3rd place, and ESF West Island School in 4th place.

【Every Moment Matters ✨ New Approach to Early Years at ESF】

The time your child spends in the classroom is a unique opportunity to find their passions, harness new skills and develop a love of learning. Our new K1 to Y13 through-train allows them to make the most of every single moment.

Starting this September, all ESF kindergartens will, for the first time, be directly linked with ESF primary schools. Families who apply for a K1 kindergarten place in the 2027/28 school year will be offered a guaranteed place for their child at one of the linked primary schools.

Further details regarding our strategic new approach to early years education and the Associated School Model can be accessed via our website:

【ESF Assembly Showcase】

Join us as we relive the best highlights from across the ESF community recently!

We are proud to announce the debut of the first-ever ESF Chinese Debate Team! Students from ESF Sha Tin College, ESF Island School, and ESF South Island School represented the Foundation at the prestigious Hong Kong "Zongheng Cup" on April 19th. The team demonstrated exceptional skill and quick thinking in two intense rounds against Yew Chung International School and Wa Ying College. Special congratulations go to our two students who were named "Best Debater" for their outstanding performances. This competition was not just a match, but a significant milestone in our students' linguistic and analytical growth. We look forward to seeing this team reach even greater heights in the future!

Community Spirit at ESF Glenealy School was high at the International Family Day. Their energy made the celebration truly special. The day was packed with joy, starting with a high-energy "Wake and Shake" led by their Y6 dancers, followed by a wonderful whole-school picnic and an afternoon of fantastic community-run workshops.

The TED x Youth "Lost and Found" event at ESF Sha Tin College was an absolute masterclass in perspective. Attendees were taken on a journey from the microscopic world of atoms to global discussions on cultural identity and language diversity. A huge thank you to their six incredible student speakers and guest teacher for sharing their profound insights on what it means to lose, search, and be found.

The stage came alive this week as Y11 ESF Discovery College students presented their production of She Kills Monsters. Transporting the audience from 90s Ohio straight into a fantastical D&D world, the entirely student-led performance had friends and family laughing, gasping, and cheering from the edge of their seats. We are incredibly proud of the brilliant theatre-makers they have become!
