【Oxford International College - Online Summer University Preparation＋Internship Course】
(Age group: 14-19)
Overview:
This is an online enrichment programme, which includes personal statement building, interview preparation, advanced science, admissions test skills, guest speakers etc. It allows students to strategically plan their university application and gain an advantage over others by boosting their personal profile and becoming much more well-rounded – something the top universities will be looking for more evidence of in the coming years. By the end of this course, students will understand how to make the very best UCAS application possible.
The course consists of 5 key elements along with the Space Design element, and an optional online internship:

The Global Space Design Challenge – in partnership with Imperial College London
OIC are partnering with Imperial College London for an Online Global Space Design Challenge to learn design, presentations and communication skills in industry. This is a fun and challenging practical course. You design a space settlement in a team. Students will look at plans and designs to build the structure, as well as plan out the communications, entertainment, food construction and costing for a settlement in space! Ideal for budding doctors, architects, engineers, scientists or even future business people!
Online Internships for the modern world (optional 5 day add-on at the reduced rate of GBP515 per student)
OIC work with the top, London-based company ‘InvestIn’ to offer online internships as an optional add on (5 extra days from 31 July – 4 August) so students can have a taste of their dream career before starting their university journey. This is the first time they are partnering with an institution like OIC, so this is unique and exclusive to OIC. These 5-day immersive Internships consist of interactive seminars, simulations and panels with industry-leading professionals.
In previous years, the internships included up to 12 different industries, including:

• Entrepreneurship
• Psychology
• Politics
Programme Options:
1. Base two-week online programme (GBP1,999 plus additional GBP515 for online internship, total GBP2514):
Date: 5-18 July 2021 OR 16-30 July 2021
- Seminars and masterclasses
- 3.5 hours of 1:1 classes (personal statements and one-to-one interviews)
- Weekend Global Space Design Competition
- Optional InvestIN Online Internship seminars from industry professionals.
2. Extended four-week online programme (GBP3,899 plus additional GBP515 for online internship, total GBP4414):
Date: 5-30 July 2021
- Seminars and masterclasses
- 7 hours of 1:1 classes (personal statements and 1:1 interviews)
- Weekend Global Space Design Competition
- Admission Test Simulation Day
- Optional InvestIN Digital Internship
- Seminars from industry professionals
Students who are about to apply to University are recommended to take the 4 week programme. For younger students looking for a taste of what is to come, the 2 week course plus the additional internship is a great start.
