Hong Kong International School HKIS is a leading non-profit international school established in 1966.

HKIS offers an American-style education serving students from Reception One (pre-kindergarten aged four years) to Grade 12. From humble beginnings, HKIS has expanded to cover two sites with Lower and Upper Primary schools based in Repulse Bay and Middle and High Schools based in Tai Tam. Employing over 500 faculty and staff from Hong Kong and around the globe, HKIS provides an American-style education, teaching a wide and varied curriculum that encourages personal as well as academic growth.

Futurist and education thought leader Homa Tavangar joined parents and educators at our Repulse Bay Campus today for an engaging conversation on the future of education.

Together, they explored what success really means for children, the values that matter most in a rapidly changing world, and how parents and educators can partner to help students thrive.

Through thoughtful discussion and shared reflection, families examined the roles of character, empathy, curiosity, and wisdom in preparing children for the future.

A slam dunk visit! 🏀 Harlem Globetrotters Cherelle "Torch" George and Mark "Splash" Blount visited HKIS for an afternoon packed with fun, inspiration, and plenty of basketball excitement. From clinics and interactive games to photos, giveaways, and meaningful conversations, students had the opportunity to learn from two world-renowned athletes who embody teamwork, determination, and joy. Even "our" Torch got in on the action!

⛑️ Our teachers are saving lives! This year, HKIS launched a brand new, internally managed employee CPR training program. We now have 13 instructors on staff and have certified nearly 100 participants. On August 11, we kickstarted the program here at our DCAA with over 30 teachers attending. Our goal is to better educate and prepare our community in the event of medical emergency.
