Our Grade 3 scientists stepped into the secondary school science lab for an unforgettable hands-on dissection experience! As part of their Unit of Inquiry into healthy choices, students explored real organs up close.

The Scientific Journey:
🧠 Curious & Courageous — Suited up in lab coats and safety goggles, our young scientists wielded tweezers with confidence, examining organs with genuine wonder and focus.

🤝 Stronger Together — Working in small groups, students showed outstanding collaboration, thoughtful communication, and careful respect for lab safety protocols.

💡 Connecting the Dots — This immersive experience brought classroom learning to life, sparking big questions, bold insights, and a deeper understanding of real-world biology.

We couldn't be prouder of the maturity, critical thinking, and scientific spirit our Grade 3 cohort brought to the lab. The future is in great hands! 👏🧪✨

**To comply with social media safety guidelines regarding graphic content, these photos were edited using AI to replace the real dissection specimens with clean, educational anatomical models.**

As part of our 25th anniversary programme our primary school students created mini books for their future selves and others to read. Curious about what our future world might look like, students were keen to ask questions - do you have flying cars? - did we meet the UN SDG’s? - how is climate change affecting you? 🌍✨

They also thought about leaving a mark for their future self and added signatures, thumbprints, locks of hair and other artefacts to the collection.

All items were placed into a purpose built time capsule which was cleverly designed, laser engraved and fashioned into a leather bound 3D book shape by Grade 7 students from the ‘Flexlective: Make Anything’ design team.

What a fantastic way to celebrate 25 years of literacy at HKA! ❤️
