Our campus was filled with big smiles and high-fives today as we welcomed our new students and families for New Family Orientation! 🎉 Our trusty mascot, Buzz, our student ambassadors and parent volunteers were also present to greet our new community members.

Whilst our newest Dragonflies explored their classrooms, met their teachers, and made their very first campus friends their parents got everything sorted with the help of our wonderful Support Teams and Buddy Parents; from fitting shiny new uniforms to setting up bus routes and hkaEATS accounts.

The energy today was amazing, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to campus on Monday. ✨

Back Together and Ready to Shine! 🥐☕Welcome Back, HKA Faculty! ✨

Our entire teaching team is officially back on campus. We kicked off the morning sharing summer stories, warm smiles, and delicious food over a lively community breakfast provided by hkaEATS. We then gathered in the theatre for an inspiring all-school meeting where we dove into HKA's 4Cs; Capable, Confident, Compassionate, and Creative, and our plans for the year ahead. 💡❤️

Our educators are recharged, united, and eager to welcome our young Dragonflies back to the classrooms. It’s going to be an unforgettable year ahead!

Buzz’s Summer Adventures Around the World! ✈️🌍

What an incredible summer break for our students and our trusty mascot, Buzz! From Tokyo and Lisbon to Sydney, Melbourne, Vancouver, and Malaga, Buzz has been travelling the globe tucked into backpacks and exploring amazing sights with our HKA families! ✈️✨

Our Dragonflies loved bringing a piece of school spirit along on their holidays, capturing sweet moments, exploring new cultures, and making memories. Thank you so much to everyone who shared these wonderful snapshots with us! 💙📸

What a wonderful month Come & Play 2026 has been. It was certainly a rainy July, but opening up our indoor campus spaces to local families, carers, and energetic little ones brought so much warmth and energy to our school every afternoon.

From fort-building and balancing beams to creative play and making new friends, it was brilliant watching the children explore, imagine, and lead their own adventures! 🧸🎨

Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought so many smiles and giggles to HKA this summer. We hope you all had a fantastic time, and we look forward to welcoming you back to campus again soon! 👏❤️

🎼 Inspiring Music on Campus!

Over the past two weeks, HKA was delighted to host the LINA Foundation's Horizon in Motion – Summer Academy and Little Friends Music Discovery programmes. The LINA Foundation is a Hong Kong-based non-profit dedicated to promoting music education and offers talented young musicians the opportunity to study with renowned international professors. 🌿🎻

🎺 Ages 10–20: Emerging musicians sharpened their skills through tailored masterclasses and collaborative chamber projects under the guidance of world-class professors.

🥁 Ages 4–7: Our youngest music lovers explored percussion, Chinese drums, harps, dance, and creative arts during their hands-on sessions.

The programmes wrapped up on Saturday, July 25th with a wonderful Final Concert in our HKA Theatre. 🎭🥂

It was a true honour to provide the space for these talented young artists to deepen their craft and take their musical journey to the next level. A huge thank you to the LINA Foundation, the professors, parents, visiting students, and our own HKA Dragonflies for making this summer collaboration so memorable! 👏❤️

Recapping RISE Redressed in June – The Night Our Dragonflies Ran the Show:
This year, HKA creatively redesigned the concept of RISE to incorporate all elements of our Creative Arts Team- for a first ever wearable arts showcase and fashion show combined with our amazingly talented musical rock band collective and art auction.

The evening culminated in showcasing over 110 students in a creative event which stunned the entire community with its authenticity and diversity. Our student designers took on the ultimate creative challenge for this year’s Fashion Walk, exploring four powerful themes: Elements, Time, Heavy, and Hong Kong. Tasked with using existing materials, these designers pushed the boundaries of sustainable fashion—proving that what already exists can be transformed into something entirely extraordinary. Topped off with cutting-edge staging, immersive lighting, and innovative backdrop videos, the entire runway was elevated to a whole new dimension.🤝❤️

A Grand Total for Global Change-Makers:
Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, fundraising totals from ticket sales and competitive art auction bids reached an incredible milestone of almost HK$30,000! 💰🎟
