It is good to catch up with our previous HKU Biochemistry student, Natalie Hung. She worked with us as summer & FYP student Now she is a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh on a project epilepsy. It is so happy to see our students climbing up step-by-step.

It is the time for me to start a new chapter of life. I am so glad to have excellent students, good friends, teachers and colleagues to give me wonderful and sweet time to farewell my chapter of life in Hong Kong. Thank you. 🙏

It is sweet and rewarding to have group photos with different generations of PhD students and postdocs. Perhaps this is the last generation in my research team.

I am happy to share that I have been conferred to be Bingei and L & T Charitable Foundation Professor in Dementia Research

I am happy to share our recent publication by Michael Lai to find out connection of Ventral Tegmental Area (VTA) and dorsal hippocampus CA2 by using two dual AAV tracing method together with tissue clearing method. This may explain why dementia can occur in Parkinson’s disease. The paper is published in Neurobiology of Disease.
