華南國家植物園（中國科學院華南植物園）交流考察團 🌳

國際樹木學會香港分部（ISA Hong Kong Chapter）於 5月23日 組團前往 華南國家植物園（中國科學院華南植物園） 進行交流考察，與多位樹木管理及園林園藝專業人員深入交流，分享樹木管理、抗風研究及植物園營運管理方面的寶貴經驗。

是次考察期間，我們有幸與粵港澳樹藝學會理事長黃頌誼博士、華南國家植物園園林園藝部部長李素文，以及多位植物園樹木管理人員會面交流。李部長分享了華南國家植物園在園林園藝及植物資源管理方面的專業經驗；黃博士亦講解了有關樹木抗風能力的長期研究成果，內容對樹木風險評估及城市樹木管理均極具啟發性。

其後，在華南國家植物園職員帶領下，考察團實地參觀園區，了解園內植物保育、樹木養護、景觀管理及科研應用等工作。透過現場觀察與專業交流，會員們對植物園的管理模式及華南地區樹木資源有更深入的認識。

是次珍貴的交流考察，不但加深了香港與大灣區樹木管理專業人員之間的互動，亦有助拓展樹藝及樹木管理界的交流平台。ISA Hong Kong Chapter 將繼續推動專業知識交流，促進樹木管理及樹藝行業的可持續發展。

由國際樹木學會香港分部主辦的「樹木管理大獎 2025（非住宅物業）」頒獎典禮，已於 2026 年 5 月 29 日圓滿舉行。

🌳 TMA Tree Management Awards 2025 (Non-Domestic Properties)

The Tree Management Awards 2025 (Non-Domestic Properties) Presentation Ceremony, organised by the International Society of Arboriculture Hong Kong Chapter, was successfully held on 29 May 2026.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the strong support from all sectors, and extend our warmest congratulations to all the winning properties and their management organisations for 2025! 🎉

At the ceremony, Mr. Oric Chan, President of the International Society of Arboriculture Hong Kong Chapter, commended the award-winning organisations for their outstanding performance in tree management. Mr. Chan said, “We recognise that property management companies have always played an important role as key stakeholders in urban tree management, forming an indispensable part of the city’s overall tree management system. I look forward to maintaining and further strengthening our exchanges in the future, as we work together to enhance the quality of urban tree management.”

The Tree Management Awards aim to recognise properties with outstanding performance in tree management, thereby enhancing the property management industry’s awareness of tree preservation and the value of trees. The Awards also seek to encourage and promote more active community participation in tree management. [Planting Knowledge Seminar 2026 ☘️] - HKU Digital Arboretum

🌱 Thank you to the HKU Division of Landscape Architecture “Digital Arboretum” for the wonderful invitation to the Planting Knowledge Seminar 2026! 🌳

On May 16, we had an inspiring day at the HKU Kadoorie Centre. Hosted by the HKU Digital Arboretum, the event featured insightful talks and sharing with the theme of soil – the starting point of all lives. We were delighted to once again offer a tree-climbing experience at this meaningful seminar. We were also very happy to take part in the tree-planting activity this year.

Despite the light rain throughout the day, we had around 30 participants joining our tree climbing experience, with many trying it for the first time! As a supporting organization, we were honored to deliver this experiential educational activity to promote a love for nature and raise awareness of the importance of tree care. 🌍💚

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us! Let’s continue to nurture our love for nature and care for our trees together! 🌳

國際樹木學會香港分部 🌳 環境及自然保育基金資助 【探索城市樹木及生物多樣性 — 大專生訓練計劃】戶外訓練 II

訓練完成 ✨
學員於四月順利完成最後一節訓練！【探索城市樹木及生物多樣性 — 大專生訓練計劃】不僅提升了學員知識，更著重於實踐轉化。在最後一節訓練中，學員們進行實習，化身樹木導賞員，將所學知識活學活用除此之外，學員亦分組設計生態學習活動，從構思到呈現，展現滿滿創意與團隊合作精神~🫶🏻

完成訓練的學員正式成為「樹木大使」，在社區進行推廣，引領大眾欣賞樹木及生物多樣性。💚

Training Completed ✨
Participants successfully completed their final training session in April! The “Exploring Urban Trees and Biodiversity — Tertiary Student Training Programme” not only enhanced their knowledge, but also emphasized putting learning into practice. In the final session, participants put knowledge into practice, stepping into the role of tree eco-guides and applying what they had learned. They also teamed up to design their own eco-learning activities — from concept development to implementation — showing off creativity, teamwork, and lots of fresh ideas. 🫶🏻

Upon completing the training, participants are now officially “Tree Ambassadors! They’re ready to step into the community for public promotion — sharing their passion and inspire others to discover the beauty of trees and urban biodiversity 💚

The programme is organized by the ISA Hong Kong Chapter and funded by ECF. Launched in Sept 2025, the programme features a series of activities including talks, guided tours, and training for tertiary students. It aims to inspire the public to appreciate trees and biodiversity, explore the close relationships between trees and other organisms, and work together to protect our green treasures.

[ Planting Knowledge Seminar 2026 ] 🌳

ISA Hong Kong Chapter (ISAHK) is delighted to be the supporting organization of the Planting Knowledge Seminar 2026 organized by the HKU Digital Arboretum, The Division of Landscape Architecture, HKU on May 16, 2026, and host the tree climbing demonstration and experiential tree climbing activity for the seminar.

The event calls for all nature-orientated teachers, youth development professionals, and anyone interested in how nature-based education can address our collective nature deficit disorder. This year, with an emphasis on soil!
