To the Class of 2026: you have officially walked across the stage, and we could not be prouder. 🎓✨

From your very first day stepping onto campus to this momentous Commencement day, we have watched you grow into compassionate, resilient, and brilliant young adults. You have survived the late-night deadlines, champion-ed your Houses, left your mark on our classrooms, and filled our corridors with unforgettable energy and laughter.

Thank you for dedication, your leadership, and for truly Making South Proud. As you leave our hillside to make your mark on the world, remember that you will always have a home here.

Huge congratulations to our recent Y13 graduate, Chaemin Jun, for an absolutely legendary performance on the track! Chaemin captured the Gold Medal in the Men’s 100m sprint, clocking a blistering 10.33 seconds to officially shatter the Hong Kong U20 National Record!

Talk about whispering distance from history—his phenomenal time puts him a microscopic 0.05 seconds away from the absolute, all-time Hong Kong Senior Men’s Record of 10.27 seconds.

What makes this achievement even more incredible is his perfect progression. Demonstrating elite composure under immense pressure, Chaemin ran consecutive Personal Bests in every single round, dropping from a 10.42s in the heats, to a 10.35s in the semi-finals, and finally peaking at 10.33s in the final.

To balance world-class sprint training with the grueling demands of IB final exams is an extraordinary feat of discipline and determination. As a long-time representative of SIS athletics, Chaemin has left an indelible mark on our school sports history. We could not be prouder of you, Chaemin! The SIS community is cheering you on for whatever history you break next! 💥🏃‍♂️💨

A night of awards, incredible performances, and a lot of questionable karaoke. 🎤✨

Last Thursday’s Y13 Dinner Dance at The Mira was the perfect way to celebrate how far we’ve come. Huge shoutout to our tutor reps for showing some well-deserved love to the teachers!

We have a special sign-out video dropping soon! Shoutout to Anthony B. for putting together a masterpiece of everyone signing off on the clear camera frame. Stay tuned! 🎥

The 2nd Annual ESF IBCP Street Photography Exhibition took over Wyndham Social in Central last week! From the bustling streets of TST to the hidden corners of Sai Ying Pun, our students captured the soul of Hong Kong across two categories: HK People and HK City.

This four-month journey, guided by pro photographer Michael Kistler, pushed our students to explore identity, ethics, and resilience.

🏆 Big congratulations to our winners:

1st Place (HK People): Annabelle C. (Y12)

Honorable Mention (HK City): Hanna R. (Y12)

Honorable Mention (HK People): Rori T. (Y12)

A huge thank you to the families, staff, and ESF CEO Belinda Greer for joining us to celebrate these incredible young creatives.

Who said Mondays were boring? From the sharpest suits to the most stunning dresses, Year 11’s absolutely owned the floor at the Regal Hotel Causeway Bay this past Monday for this year’s Y11 Dinner Dance! 💃🕺

We danced the night away, conquered the buffet (shoutout to those desserts! 🍰), and celebrated the absolute legends among us during our student and tutor awards. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and seeing everyone dressed to the nines was the perfect way to celebrate how far we’ve come.

Class of 2026 ~ The End

Looking back at yesterday, it’s clear that it wasn’t just the end of a chapter; it was the closing of a book that we have all written together. Watching our Year 13s celebrate their final day on campus, surrounded by the support of the community they’ve helped build, was a powerful reminder of the mark they’ve left on us all. 💙

The Final Assembly was a true emotional rollercoaster. From the “hidden gem” photos of those early years to the deeply moving farewell messages, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. 🥹 Seeing how much you’ve grown—not just as students, but as kind, ambitious, and resilient humans—has been our greatest privilege.

To our students: Thank you for making our community such a vibrant, beautiful place. Your energy has been the heartbeat of this school.

To our tutors: Thank you for your tireless support and for being the steady hands that guided this cohort to the finish line. 🤝

Good luck with your exams! Take a deep breath—you’ve got this. We are already looking forward to the day you walk back through these gates as alumni. 🥂✨
Once a part of this community, always a part of this community.

Our Year 13 IBCP students recently visited Quarry Bay School and Bradbury School to bring their “Tales that Teach” projects to life! As part of their Personal and Professional Skills (PPS) module, students wrote and illustrated original storybooks designed to teach young learners about morality, communication, and intercultural understanding.

For many of our seniors, this was a heartfelt “full-circle” moment as they returned to their own primary school halls as alumni to inspire the next generation. The Year 1 students were absolutely captivated, and our CP students demonstrated incredible leadership and rapport.

This visit marks the official close of their IBCP studies at SIS. We couldn’t be prouder of the impact they’ve made on our community. Congratulations, Year 13—you are officially ready for your next chapter! 🎓🌟

Last Wednesday, over 150 of our incredible musicians took us on a musical world tour for the TSIS Spring Concert! ✈️🎻

With our ‘World Cup’ theme, our ensembles tackled a massive repertoire featuring composers from every corner of the globe. From the first whistle to the final encore, the energy was electric!

All that “pre-season” training in rehearsals truly paid off. A huge shoutout to the parents, staff, and students who filled the stands to cheer us on—your support is the “12th man” our performers need!

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting your musical journey, we want YOU in our clubs and concerts. Don’t sit on the sidelines—drop by the Music Department to find your spot in the lineup! 🎶✨
