[School of the Week] Founded in 1838, Duke was founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity. The school moved to Durham in 1892. The campus spans over 8,600 acres. The campus design incorporates Gothic architecture with modern facilities. Duke ranks 9th by US News for its undergraduate program. With its highly ranked Fuqua School of Business, Pratt School of Engineering, School of Law, and School of Medicine, the university offers a wide range of excellence. [College Town of the Week] Charlottesville is a beautiful small-town home to numerous universities including the University of Virginia. With a population under 200,000, UVA has a strong impact on the town. With that, a full college experience comes with Charlottesville. The town is located at the base of Southwest mountains of central Virginia and an hour and a half drive from the state capital, Richmond. The short strip that cuts through the center of the town is Main Street. Downtown Mall is filled with exciting shops, restaurants, and bars. If you are looking for southern-style white porches, a beautiful town, and strong school spirit, Charlottesville is the place to be. Comment below your favorite part of campus!

[School of the Week] Founded in 1851, Northwestern University is a private research university based in Evanston, Illinois. Northwestern is widely known for its highly ranked Kellogg School of Management, Pritzker School of Law, Feinberg School of Medicine, and Medill School of Journalism. US News currently ranks the university 11th for its undergraduate program. Northwestern not only excels in academics and research. It is a Division I school in the big ten athletic conference. Did you know 75 percent of high school seniors are accepted to their first-choice colleges, but less than 57 percent can afford to attend? A UCLA study about college students confirmed that although students are often accepted to their first choice colleges, they are unable to attend due to financial constraints. Look into a college's financial aid program before attending or applying.

As a criminal justice student, Stephanie reenacted various scenarios with her professor and classmates to gain first hand experience. [City of the Day] With a population of 685,000 in 2017, Boston is the most populous city in the New England region. The city has earned itself the nickname “America’s college town”. Boston is home to notable universities including Harvard, MIT, Tufts, Boston College, and Boston University. There is much to do and explore in the city. Boston is the sports hub of America with several Division I sports and professional sports teams. Visit TD Garden to watch the historic Boston Celtics or Boston Bruins play; visit Fenway Park to witness the notorious Boston Red Sox.
