【 🎼2026演藝協奏曲比賽（中樂組）︱Academy Concerto Competition (Chinese Instruments) 🎼】

音樂學院協奏曲比賽（中樂組）已於六月十二日圓滿舉行。中樂組優勝獎及觀眾票選獎由中樂系嗩吶學生蔡暐彥憑羅麥朔《火之舞》的精彩演繹奪得。評審團由音樂學院院長盛韻奇博士擔任主席，聯同音樂業界嘉賓及學院教員組成。評審團高度讚賞蔡暐彥（碩士一）（嗩吶）於演出中充分展現樂曲的張力與異域色彩，演繹淋漓盡致，音樂個性鮮明，舞台感染力出眾，最終同時獲得評審及觀眾一致肯定，榮膺本屆比賽中樂組優勝獎及觀眾票選獎。

💬蔡暐彥表示：「非常榮幸能夠得到評審團及觀眾的肯定。參賽同學均技藝精湛，讓我能以平和的心態向各位學習與挑戰，最終有幸獲獎，實在深感榮幸。在比賽當晚演出羅麥朔老師的作品《火之舞》時，我明顯感受到樂團比排練時更專注，令我能更投入於樂曲之中。在此衷心感謝袁貝指揮及每一位樂團成員在的支持，以及過去一週的努力排練與悉心配合。最後，誠摯感謝學院提供這次難能可貴的機會，亦感謝主修老師胡晉僖老師的指導。期望未來能有更多機會與樂團合作，繼續分享音樂。」

音樂學院衷心祝賀所有中樂系決賽選手於比賽中發揮卓越水平，並向評審團致以誠摯謝意，特別感謝業界嘉賓徐英輝先生及周光蓁博士的長期鼎力支持。學院同時感謝客席指揮袁貝、演藝中樂團、校友司儀宮嘉豪，以及作曲系同學庄佳駿的優秀作品，並期待下一年再同大家見面，並對所有觀眾對本屆賽事的熱情支持致以衷心感謝！

The Academy Concerto Competition (Chinese Instruments) was successfully held on 12 June. The Winner Prize and Audience Prize were both awarded to suona student Tsoi Wai-yin, who delivered a compelling performance of Luo Maishuo’s “Dance of Fire”, standing out among the finalists. The jury panel was chaired by Dean of Music Dr. Iñaki Sandoval and comprised distinguished industry guests alongside members of the Academy faculty. The panel unanimously praised Tsoi for his ability to bring out the intensity and distinctive exotic colours of the work, demonstrating a strong musical personality and commanding stage presence. His performance was highly acclaimed by both the jury and the audience, earning him both the Winner Prize and the Audience Prize of this year’s competition.

💬Tsoi Wai-yin said "It is a tremendous honor to receive these awards from both the judges and the audience . Competing alongside such exceptionally skilled fellow finalists was a wonderful learning experience, and winning both the Winner Prize and the Audience Prize at this inaugural Concerto Competition is truly a privilege. During the finals, the orchestra’s incredible focus and energy during Mr. Luo Maoshuo’s ‘Dance of Fire’ completely immersed me in the music. My heartfelt thanks to conductor Maestro Yuan Bei and every orchestra member for their vote, hard work and seamless collaboration. Finally, I sincerely thank the Academy for this invaluable opportunity, and my mentor, Mr. Wu Chun-hei, for his guidance. I look forward to sharing more music together in the future.＂

The Academy extends its heartfelt congratulations to all Chinese Instruments division finalists for their outstanding performances. We also express our sincere gratitude to the jury panel, with special thanks to our distinguished industry guests, Mr Tsui Ying-fai and Dr. Oliver Chou, for their long-term support.

🎼《時代練習曲》是一首單簧管樂手的練習曲，旨在幫助演奏者於當下這個時代中練習，保持內心平靜沉穩，與自身和樂器建立連結。⛓️‍💥

👍We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ng Man-lok, a Year 3 undergraduate student from the School of Music's Department of Composition and Electronic Music, for being selected for concert performance at New Generation 2026 with his work "Étude for Certain Times", and for winning Third Prize.🥉

"Étude for Certain Times" is an étude for clarinet, designed to help the performer practice maintaining inner calm and steadiness in the context of our present era, while fostering a deeper connection with both oneself and the instrument. 🙂

Recently, the Stage and Event Management programme under the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts welcomed Ms Yan Ruowen, an Associate Professor at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA), for an exchange visit. 👩🏻‍🏫🎭 Drawing on her experience at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Ms Yan shared valuable insights on theatre and production management, inspiring our students.

🥳Thank you to Rosamund Kwan Chi-lam for featuring the Béthanie in her cultural video series! As the venue partner, the Academy is happy to support this project alongside the Hong Kong Tourism Board to promote our city's cultural heritage.

⛪With a history of over 150 years, the Béthanie is a Neo-Gothic landmark and was declared a statutory monument in 2013. Since 2006, this beautiful heritage site has been home to the teaching facilities of our School of Film and Television, inspiring a new generation of local filmmakers. 📽🔥

🎵2026音樂學院協奏曲比賽今年以全新比賽形式舉行，西樂組優勝獎由學生陸釔諾（Max Lu Yinuo）憑藉柴可夫斯基《降B小調第一鋼琴協奏曲，作品23》奪得。評審團由音樂學院院長盛韻奇博士擔任主席，聯同國際業界嘉賓及音樂學院教員組成。評審團高度肯定並讚揚Max卓越的音樂表現力、深刻的音樂理解及紮實的演奏技巧，並選出他為本屆比賽西樂組優勝獎得主。🎉👏🏻

賽果如下：
優勝獎🏆🎹 陸釔諾（學位一年級）(鋼琴)
觀眾票選獎 🏅🎻梁文謙（學位三年級)（小提琴）

💬陸釔諾表示：「能夠獲得首屆學院協奏曲比賽西樂組優勝獎，我感到非常開心和幸運。作為演藝學院一年級學生，能夠晉身決賽，並與葉詠詩及演藝交響樂團合作演出，已經是一個非常難得而寶貴的經驗。我衷心感謝評審團、我的老師郭嘉特教授、沙德林老師以及葉詠詩指揮在排練期間給予我的指導和支持。我亦非常感謝樂團每一位同學專業而投入的演奏。能夠與另外四位優秀的決賽選手同台演出，也讓我獲益良多，並更加投入這次比賽。我期待未來有更多機會與樂團合作，並與香港觀眾分享音樂。」
觀眾票選獎由現場觀眾及演藝交響樂團團員共同投票選出，由小提琴學生梁文謙獲得。

🎵The 2026 Academy Concerto Competition, presented this year in its inaugural competition format, awarded its Winner Prize (Western Instruments) to Max Lu Yinuo for his performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23. The jury panel, comprising international guests and School of Music faculty members and chaired by Dean of Music Dr Iñaki Sandoval, highly praised Max’s artistry, musical insight and technical command, naming him the Winner Prize recipient of the 2026 competition. 🎉👏🏻

The results are as follows:

💬 Max said, “I feel very happy and fortunate to receive the Winner Prize in the inaugural Academy Concerto Competition. As a first-year student at HKAPA, simply reaching the final and performing with Maestro Yip Wing-sie and the Academy Symphony Orchestra was already an invaluable experience. I am deeply grateful to the jury panel, my teachers, Professor Gabriel Kwok and Mr Yury Shadrin, and Maestro Yip for their guidance and support. I am also sincerely grateful to my fellow orchestra members for their outstanding musicianship and inspiring collaboration. Sharing the stage with the other four outstanding finalists further encouraged me to become more engaged in the competition. I look forward to the next opportunity to perform and share my music with Hong Kong audiences.”
The Audience Prize, determined through a combination of live audience and Academy Symphony Orchestra voting, was awarded to violinist Anson Leung Man-him.

💬 Anson said, “I am incredibly honoured to receive the Audience Prize tonight. First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all audience members and fellow orchestra players who voted for me. I am also deeply grateful to my violin teacher, Mr Ivan Chan, for his invaluable guidance and mentorship. Last but not least, a huge thank you to my parents and friends for their unwavering support throughout this journey. I feel extremely grateful and lucky to be able to share what I love with all of you.”

[Making the Arts Accessible: Audio Description for the Visually Impaired 藝術通達服務：為視障觀眾而設的口述影像]

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy) is committed to advancing inclusive arts practices and empowering students to engage with diverse communities. As part of this effort, Audio Description (AD)—a form of narration that conveys key visual elements to enhance accessibility for visually impaired audiences—has been introduced as a practical tool for inclusive communication in the performing arts.

To equip students with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in arts accessibility, the Academy’s Student Recruitment and Community Engagement Office organised an “Introduction to Audio Description Workshop” on 30 May. Delivered in collaboration with guest speakers from the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong, the three-hour session covered essential concepts of inclusive practice and provided practical training in applying AD techniques.

Through the workshop, students explored how AD serves not only as a technical skill, but also as a meaningful approach to expanding audience engagement and participation. Following the session, an AD option would be provided to three selected artworks to be showcased at the upcoming TEA Graduation Exhibition, enhancing arts accessibility.

The Academy looks forward to seeing students continue to develop their interest and capabilities in inclusive performing arts, contributing to a more accessible and connected cultural landscape.

口述影像（Audio Description, AD）是以簡潔生動的語言描述影像訊息，幫助視障觀眾理解內容，是一種在表演藝術領域中實現共融溝通的專業描述技巧。 香港演藝學院致力推廣共融藝術，積極增强學生與不同能力社群間的互動。

為使學生掌握藝術通達的基礎知識，學生招募拓展處於2026年5月30日與香港展能藝術會首次共同舉辦了「口述影像入門工作坊」。三小時的工作坊，涵蓋了共融實踐的基本概念，同學更有機會撰寫及朗讀文稿，實踐所學。

透過工作坊，學生認識到口述影像不僅是影視翻譯，更是一種加強觀眾參與和互動的有效途徑。在六月下旬舉行的舞台及製作藝術學院畢業作品展，我們將會挑選三件作品製作口述影像，為不同能力人仕提供藝術通達服務。

演藝學院期待同學繼續發展他們對表演藝術共融的興趣和能力，為建立更包容和無障礙的文化景觀做出貢獻。
