Don’t miss this chance! Turn your comics and illustrations originals into valuable art collectibles for enthusiasts!

Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) is thrilled to host the ‘Comix Arts Fest 2025 Hong Kong’ (the "Art Fair") from 22 July to 31 August 2025! This is the first time for such a vibrant celebration of creativity and art tailored for comic and illustration lovers, not only marks Comix Home Base’s upcoming 20th anniversary, but also showcases the captivating diversity of comic and illustration art through a series of events!

The Art Fair is now open for applications, calling for original hand-drawn artworks from Hong Kong’s comics and illustration artists! We warmly invite all local artists, emerging talents from academic institutions and creative organisations to participate. Selected artworks will have the chance to be exhibited at Jockey Club Atrium or the Diana Cheung Experimental Gallery in the Hong Kong Arts Centre, giving talents be seen!

由香港藝術中心主辦，於2009 年起開辦「影像無國界」創意影像計劃，為在港少數族裔青年免費提供影像教育，通過影像製作訓練營及連串實戰經驗，學員從構思劇本開始，學習以光影訴說自己的故事。

計劃成立至今，出產無數由少數族裔攝製的短片，參與之在港少數族裔青年超過600 人，更榮獲2013香港藝術發展獎的藝術教育獎（非學校組）。 至2021 年首辦「影像無國界電影節」，從少數族裔視點出發，放映本地及海外作品，並舉辦社區放映，衝破種族、地域、語言及性別界限，與觀眾分享多元聲音。

ALL ABOUT US is a creative filmmaking project for ethnic minorities in Hong Kong since 2009. Organised by the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the project provides free filmmaking education for local ethnic minority youths. Through training camps and filming activities, participants are encouraged to express their unique narratives through the art of moving images, with over 600 individuals having embraced this transformative experience.

By 2021, it launched the inaugural ALL ABOUT US Film Festival showcasing both local and international works through the lens of minority perspectives. This Festival not only featured community screenings but also transcended barriers of race, geography, language, and gender, inviting audiences to embrace a rich tapestry of diverse voices.

萬眾期待的「Collect Hong Kong」日前舉行了新聞發佈會，吸引多個傳媒到場採訪，還請來五間參與院校代表親臨支持，陣容鼎盛，場面非常熱鬧！

香港藝術中心監督團主席劉文邦先生於致辭時透露，「Collect Hong Kong」吸引了William Lim、Freeman Lau、何兆基等一眾藝術大師參與，他希望能藉「Collect Hong Kong」將香港藝壇推向更高層次、促進藝術家之間交流，並提升公眾對本地藝術作品的欣賞度，從而進一步鞏固香港成為藝術文化中心的地位。

活動尚有差不多兩個月就正式揭幕，熱切期待看到所有精彩作品！

The long-awaited “Collect Hong Kong” hosted a press conference recently, generated a huge buzz with multiple media friends in attendance as well as representatives from five participating schools supporting the event!

Chairman of Hong Kong Arts Centre Mr. Peter Lau unveiled the exciting news in his speech that a few Hong Kong art masters such as William Lim, Freeman Lau, Chris Ho, etc. will show their works in “Collect Hong Kong”. He also expressed his wish for boosting the local art scene to greater heights, facilitating communication and cooperation between local artists, thus raising public awareness and appreciation of local art, and consolidating the position of Hong Kong as an art and cultural centre.

“Collect Hong Kong” will be officially unveiled in about 2 months. We can’t wait to see all of the incredible artworks!

The event featured a rich array of activities, including film screenings, exhibitions, guided tours, diverse culinary exchanges, a human library, and community tours in Wan Chai. These engaging programmes showcased the unique experiences and stories of various minority groups living in Hong Kong through a variety of artistic and cultural expressions.

【社區外展Community Event 】ALL ABOUT US Film Festival 2024

🌟社區導賞 x 真人圖書館

兩場「影像無國界」灣仔社區導賞團經已完結！感謝救世軍「Hi! Strangers少數族裔生活導賞」及巴基斯坦裔青年 Harris 帶領一眾參加者遊歷灣仔區，當中包括修頓遊樂場、駱克道、駱克道街市、告士打道花園等，分享他在香港長大的故事和挑戰。導賞團結束後，大家亦一同品嚐Harris為大家準備的清新乳酪特飲Lassi，並同時在真人圖書館環節聆聽Harris分享有關灣仔愛群道清真寺的故事。

結語部分，Harris亦希望港人更主動探索及認識不同其他國家與少數族群文化，從中你或會獲得如釋重負的感覺，並打破彼此隔閡。這也是「影像無國界」的宗旨，讓彼此得到關注、分享更多元的聲音！

Two sessions of ALL ABOUT US's Community Cultural Experience Programme - Community Guided Tour in Wan Chai - have been successfully completed! We extend our gratitude to the Hi! Strangers programme of The Salvation Army and our Pakistani youth docent, Harris, who guided participants through the Wan Chai district. The tour included stops at Southorn Playground, Lockhart Road, Lockhart Road Market, and Gloucester Road Garden, where Harris shared his personal stories and the challenges he faced while growing up in Hong Kong. At the end of the tour, everyone enjoyed a refreshing yogurt drink, Lassi, prepared by Harris, while listening to his insights about the Mosque in Wan Chai during the Human Library sessions.

In the conclusion, Harris hopes that the citizens of Hong Kong will take the initiative to explore and understand the diverse cultures of other countries and ethnic minorities. This exploration may provide a sense of relief and break down the bubbles between each other. This aligns with the mission of ALL ABOUT US, which aims to break down the boundaries of race, nationality, language, gender, and let the voices of diversity be heard.

ALL ABOUT US also have the community guide touring event “Hi! Strangers” in collaboration with The Salvation Army for the first time. A Pakistan youth, who born and raised in Hong Kong, will lead you on a tour of Wan Chai District in Cantonese, experiencing the life and stories of local Ethnic Minority youths in an interactive way, exploring and understanding the cultural situations of others. The community guide touring includes a Human Library Session that takes place after the guided tour.

🎬 Finally we showcased 5 screening programmes from 6 Dec to 8 Dec at the ALL ABOUT US Festival 2024! Followed by inspiring after-screening discussions sharing the creative experiences and stories by ethnic minority youth’s filmmakers. All screening programmes of this year’s festival have come to an end. 💪💪💪

In the Closing Programme, Ahmina, director of ALL ABOUT US Young Filmmaker Mentoring Programme video – Dirt, attended the screening in person, shared her inspiration and character construct behind the film, and how to direct children's actors in this serious topic.

Thank you to all participants for joining us and supporting us again, especially all young EM filmmakers, teaching artists and mentors who joined creative camp and mentoring programme this year! Of course, thanks for producing creative and imaginative short films for us! Please give them a round of applause! 👏👏👏👏👏
