教大幼兒教育學系與非牟利幼兒教育機構議會（CNOPE）最新研究調查發現，在受訪的459位學前教育工作者中，近九成教師憂慮推行融合教育的資源不足，難以兼顧所有幼兒需要；僅16.5%教師認同現行師生比例足以有效推行融合教育。

📌 研究背景
為加強支援有特殊需要的學前兒童，社會福利署去年宣佈分階段推行「學前康復服務──校本支援模式」，期望減少輪候時間，讓有需要幼兒及早獲得適切協助。惟過去十年，需接受學前康復支援的幼兒人數由6,626人增至2025年3月底的19,291人，服務需求日益多元。

教大幼兒教育學系署理系主任劉怡虹教授及高級講師蔡嘉雯博士，協同CNOPE執委會主席鄧明慧女士、副主席盧松標先生今日分享研究成果，指研究團隊於今年三月展開調查，收集459份有效問卷，並在首階段12間試行校本支援的幼稚園中，深入訪問9間學校共27位教職員。

📊 主要調查結果
🔸 教師壓力來源（超過八成半教師表示擔憂）：
· 缺乏資源／特殊幼兒工作人員 — 88.4%
· 難以將注意力分配給所有幼兒 — 88.1%
· 工作量增加 — 86.9%
· 因納入SEN幼兒導致焦慮和壓力 — 70.6%
· 學校教育水平將受影響 — 63.7%
· 自身工作表現下降 — 59.0%

🔸 服務時數及頻次滿意度：
· 幼稚園校長：48.8%
· 班主任：41.7%
· 全體受訪者：43.1%

🔸 僅32.5%受訪校長認為現行政策及撥款機制能清晰有效支援融合教育。

🌏 Arctic Expedition Diary | Episode 2: Inside the Bauhinia Arctic Research Station

When you receive your first pension payment, how would you choose to live?

Professor Ho Kin-chung, Adjunct Research Chair Professor of Environmental and Polar Studies at The Education University of Hong Kong's Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures, chose to use around HK$1 million of his pension savings to travel to the Arctic and establish Hong Kong’s own Arctic research base –Bauhinia Station.

❄️ The World's Northernmost Town & Hong Kong's Polar Base The station is located in Longyearbyen at 78°N – one of the northernmost permanently inhabited settlements on Earth and a frontline base for global Arctic research (just over 1,300 km from the North Pole). Facing the continuous shrinkage of Arctic glaciers driven by global warming in recent years, Professor Ho rent a 1,000-square-foot space, founding this research base named after Hong Kong's city flower.

Bauhinia Station is far more than a venue for personal research; it serves as an open platform to nurture the next generation of young scientists. Building on EdUHK’s strengths in education, Professor Ho aims to foster environmental care and bring polar science outreach directly into primary and secondary schools across Hong Kong.

🌏 Arctic Expedition Diary | Episode 1: From the Arctic to the EdUHK Laboratory

In mid-July, Professor Ho Kin-chung, Adjunct Research Chair Professor of Environmental and Polar Studies at The Education University of Hong Kong's Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures, led a research team to the Arctic for a polar field expedition.

The expedition focused on monitoring changes in water quality and studying the biogeography of marine phytoplankton. But what will happen once a bottle of seawater or a scientific sample collected in the Arctic Ocean travels thousands of kilometres back to Hong Kong?
