We use detailed scenes like this to inspire our young scholars and test their powers of observations. Watch as they take it in turns to describe what they see before choosing a title for individual compositions. “ The Mad Scientist” was one title, “ The Spy in the Sky” was another. Listen to one scholar remark that the tablets are a care for Covid, expressing a wish we all share.

The Long Hello
My students range in age from 3 to 13 years. It is a great pleasure for me to watch them grow and develop. This only possible because they remain with me a long time, usually for years. Sometimes they bring along friends and siblings,which is an added joy for us all.
On this week’s posting, I have waded a short video clip of one of the winners of the Spirit Award and a long term student of mine. Must say I am very proud of her.
Congratulations to my dear student Erin on winning the 71st Hong Kong Schools Speech Recital. Here she is now with her winning entry-A Smile, by Jez Alborough. The adjudicator noted her clear enunciation, modulated intonation, stress of key words and pleasing presence. She combined all these qualities to produce a truly memorable performance. Well done, Erin! 🏆🥇
