✨Fun Fact #8 - 50 Years of Kellett
Kellett’s Class of 1983 was the first Kellett student cohort to sit GCSE’s in 1988 (fresh from the change from O levels) and A levels in 1990. While we don’t have those results as students sat their exams at other senior schools ahead of Kellett’s Kowloon Bay opening. We are excited to share with Kellett’s 2026 A level and GCSE results and anticipated university destinations!
A-Levels
Highlights include:
· 83% of all grades were awarded at A*-B
· More than one in three students achieved at least three A* or A grades
· 100% A* in Art, 100% A*-A in Chinese, 86% A*-A in Further Maths, 67% A* in Drama
Beyond A-Levels
These results were achieved alongside a truly holistic education that incorporates electives in public speaking (LAMDA), a Mini-MBA delivered by IE University, SAT Prep and an extended project (EPQ).
· 38% of students represented Kellett in our core sports (Football, Netball, Rugby, Basketball, Swimming)
· 4 students represented Hong Kong in national sports competitions
· 21% explored entrepreneurship in Kellett’s Mini-MBA elective
· 23% showcased their talents in live music, drama & media
· 49% refined their oration skills in our Public Speaking elective
IGCSE
i/GCSE Results
Kellett is delighted to announce another exceptionally strong set of i/GCSE results.
- Over 70% of all grades were 9-8 and/or A*
- 94% of all grades were 9-6 and/or A*-B
- 23% of students achieved all 9-8 and/or A* grades
Reimagining the curriculum
Some of our students opted to take our bespoke Oceanography & Innovation course. The course is the first of a range of Kellett Assessed Programmes (KAPs) to be rolled out in the coming years as an alternative to GCSEs. KAPs focus on student agency, developing skills such adaptability, creativity, and digital fluency, and assessment takes the form of 100% coursework.
- Oceanography and Innovation results were 100% A*-A
- KAPs under development include; Industrial Design & Technology, Creative Textiles, Performance Science, Media Studies: Cultures, Industries & Practise
