🎲📚 English Chill Out Cafe Board Games Day! ☕🍿
What a fun and relaxing afternoon at our English Chill Out Cafe! Students at Saint Francis Xavier's School enjoyed playing popular board games like Scrabble, as well as a variety of word-matching games designed to help improve their vocabulary and confidence in English. 😄✨
For Scrabble, students practised smart strategies like building high-value words, watching for bonus squares, and thinking ahead with possible letter prefixes and suffixes—helping them improve spelling and stronger grammar as they focused on using correct word forms. 📝🔤
With Monopoly, students practised turn-taking, listening carefully, following rules, and communicating with friends through trading and decision-making. With Monopoly Deal, the quick-paced card game helped students think fast, negotiate trades, and use English confidently to explain their choices - great for strengthening vocabulary and improving interaction. 😄✨
Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without our snacks and drinks—a delicious and refreshing treat to keep everyone energised, chatting, and having fun together! 🍪🥤🎉
