(May 22) USC Thornton Chamber Singers is being invited to perform at the “Jewels of Culture” at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. USC alumnae, Ann Kung, also the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, greeted the students afterwards. Students also enjoyed the tour to the museum at the end. Now, Stevens (BS/BA ’81, MS ’84) and his wife, Mary, are making a landmark $200 million investment in USC, the university they believe will be the national leader in AI-powered research and creativity.
In recognition of this gift, the USC School of Advanced Computing — the university’s nexus for interdisciplinary research, teaching and innovation in AI — has been renamed the USC Mark and Mary Stevens School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
