Kpogo to Wayne State! 🎉
We're thrilled to hear that lab alum Felix Kpogo (PhD 2024), currently Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University, has accepted a new job in the Linguistics Program at Wayne State University this coming fall. He will start as a Pre-Faculty Fellow and then transition to a tenure-track Assistant Professorship. Congratulations to Felix!

New paper alert: congratulations to lab alum Dr. Felix Kpogo and Prof. Chang on the publication of their article entitled "Age, gender, and locality effects on innovation in the Twi vowel harmony system" in Language Variation and Change! 🤩
This article is the first paper from Felix's PhD dissertation. It argues for "the importance of local social context for the manifestation of variation and the unique insights of non-Western communities for sociolinguistic theory."
