HKUST Future MedTech and Health Hackathon - Open to School Application (First Come First Serve)
We cordially invite your S.3 to S.6 students to participate in the HKUST Future MedTech and Health Hackathon. This event will be held on 10 - 11 July 2026 at the HKUST campus.
This landmark event is where compassion meets computation. It presents an excellent opportunity for students to apply design thinking and rapid prototyping to develop innovative solutions for real-world healthcare challenges.
Over two intensive days, more than 300 students will form teams to create practical prototypes under the guidance of industry experts and mentors. The hackathon will focus on critical healthcare areas through five curated themes, including:
• Elderly Care & Ageing-in-Place
• Hospital Operations & Logistics
• Preventive Health & Public Health
• Clinical Tools & Diagnostics
• Mental Health & Wellness

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Academy for Bright Future Young Engineers has launched an official website to highlight the achievements of the past decade and to announce upcoming events in the year ahead. Going forward, the Academy will continue connecting students with cutting-edge engineering education, hands-on learning, and a strong community of mentors and peers. Looking ahead, it remains committed to fostering creativity and engineering excellence for a brighter, more sustainable future.

ABFYE 10th Anniversary AI Logo Challenge
We are excited to announce the upcoming 10th Anniversary of Academy for Bright Future Young Engineers (ABFYE). To celebrate this special occasion, we invite all HKUST UG students and local secondary school students to participate in our ABFYE 10th Anniversary AI Logo Challenge. Attractive prizes will be awarded to the top three designs.
Eligibility*
- HKUST UG students (University division)
- Secondary school students (Secondary school division)
- ONLY ONE entry is allowed for each participant
Submission Requirements*
- The design must be your original work and be created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) design tools
- Please zip all the required files in ONE folder and name the ZIP folder as "ABFYE10__"
Judging Criteria*
Entries will be evaluated based on the below categories.
- Creativity & Concept
- Relevance & Story
- Functionality & Usability
