👧Young🧒 and 👴Old Connect👵 老少同樂

This Easter, we held a fun remote activity across the young and the old💕.

With the support of student volunteers from Hong Kong International School and the American School of Hong Kong , some of our Watchdog children were connected with the elderly residents at SAGE Madame Ho Sin Hang Home for the Elderly. The children decorated beautiful notebooks 📙as gifts to the elderly, while the elderly reciprocated with their own decorated Easter eggs filled with candies and small toys .🧸

This meaningful exchange brought love and smiles across generations , highlighting the spirit of sharing and genuine connection among people. 🧩

在香港國際學校及香港美國學校的學生義工的協助下，中心的兒童與耆康會何善衡夫人敬老院的長者建立了無形的聯繫。兒童動手裝飾了精美的筆記簿送給長者作為禮物；而長者則回贈了自己親手裝飾的復活節彩蛋，裡面放滿了🍭糖果和小玩具。

🧩這次別具意義的交流跨越了兩代人，為各人帶來了愛與歡笑，展現了人與人之間彼此分享及連繫的精神。😇

We were thrilled to welcome two new furry helpers to our classes last month — Whisky 🐕and Bailey 🐶 They’ve already met the children and brought so much extra joy to our sessions! 💖

✨ Watchdog Hong Kong Centre – Temporary Entrance🚪 ✨

New year, new beginnings! 🌱 We’re making progress at our Hong Kong Centre with the installation of a metal ramp at our entrance. 🚪♿️

Our Hong Kong Centre is part of the historic red brick building in Mid Levels — the Old British Military Hospital (1903–1907), a Grade I historic site in Hong Kong. 🏛️ Every refurbishment requires approval from the Antiquities Advisory Board, so construction may take longer, but it’s all worth it to preserve this heritage.

While we wait for our new entrance “look,” let’s take a moment to reflect on our journey: 📍 In 1983, Watchdog was located to the former wireless station on Bowen Drive, Central (near WWF). 📍 In 1984, we moved to our current home at G/F, Borrett Road, Mid Levels.

We’re upgrading our entrance! Until March 2026, parents and visitors please use the temporary entrance. A little step forward, but always moving ahead together! Thanks for growing with us!

新年新開始！ 我們的香港中心正在進行改善工程，在入口安裝金屬斜坡。🚪♿️
我們的中心位於半山的歷史紅磚建築 —— 舊英軍醫院（1903–1907），屬於香港一級歷史建築。🏛️ 每一次翻新都需要古物諮詢委員會的批准，因此施工時間可能較長，但為了保育這份珍貴的文化遺產，一切都是值得的。

在等待新入口「新面貌」的同時，讓我們回顧一下香港中心的歷程： 📍 1983年，「監護者」香港中心曾位於中環寶雲道前無線電站（近世界自然基金會）。 📍 1984年，我們搬遷至現址 —— 半山波老道地下。

我們又再邁前一小步！🚧 各位家長及訪客，請於 2026年3月前 使用臨時入口。 感謝大家一路以來的支持與陪伴，與我們一同成長。💙

"Watchdog Ally" is a place for us to extend our care and support to the parents of our Watchdog alumni. We hope this little corner could bring our Watchdog alumni’s parents together to support each other as we navigate the different stages of our SEN children’s growth. We aim to organize different forms of activities, such as leisure activities or workshops.

Our Watchdog Caterpillar 🐛 and Butterfly🦋: Flutter

Earlier, our children had an experiential learning journey about LIFE! We introduced them to a special little friend, Flutter—a caterpillar we lovingly raised. While the transformation from caterpillar to pupa typically takes 2-3 weeks, Flutter took an extraordinary 2 months! Our patience was rewarded as Flutter finally emerged as a beautiful butterfly and took flight.🤩

With hearts full of joy, we say goodbye to Flutter, wishing him all the best in his future adventures! ❤️

Indeed, the same principle applies to raising a SEN child—it requires profound ⏰patience, 💕care, and unwavering HOPE🌈 as we nurture their growth and guide them on their unique journey.🎊

Life is full of surprises and wonders.
