Cambodia Service-Learning and Leadership Summer School 2017, co-organised with Office of Service-Learning, kicked off in Hong Kong. Over 140 students travelled to and served in Cambodia in collaboration with The Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), the national university of Cambodia

Global Youth Leaders Summit 2017 kicked off at Hotel ICON. About 40 students from 22 universities in 13 countries and regions presented their projects of community engagement for addressing some of the world’s grand challenges. It also featured a keynote speech by Professor Hau Lee, The Thoma Professor of Operations, Information and Technology, Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. Professor Hau Lee's talk on "Creating IN and OUT Values Through Entrepreneurial Innovations" also marked the 2nd Global Leader Lecture Series. The official launch ceremony of GYLI was also celebrated in the occasion. The event covered 350 audience on 28 June 2017

China-Japan-Korea SERVE Initiative 2017 took place in Kyoto, Japan. 58 students from PolyU (Hong Kong), Kyoto University (Japan), Peking University (China), and Ewha Womans University (Korea) learnt about the situation of elderly and active ageing in urban and rural Kyoto. Under the theme and knowledge in place-making and co-creation, they proposed and co-created events, workshops, and public engagement together with the local elderlies and organisations. Their fruitful experiences were showcased and presented in the form of an exhibition in Kyoto University. This Initiative is the pilot student programme under the context of the University Social Responsibility Network (USRN)
3rd Cohort of SOAR Youth Leadership Programme (2017-18) kicked off in Xi'an, China. This cohort's SOAR included students from PolyU and Peking University. September 2017
