YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College

YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) The YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College ("YHKCC") was established in September 2003.

It is the first secondary school sponsored by the YMCA of Hong Kong. Our school, which is operated under the Direct Subsidy Scheme of the Education Bureau, uses English as the medium of instruction and we are the only English-medium school in the islands district in Hong Kong. YHKCC now has over 70% international students from over 45 countries, offering a dynamic international environment for students. All of our teachers are university graduates; 42% of our teachers possess master's qualifications. Over 40% of our teachers are from overseas including UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, France, Spain, Japan, India, Korea, Australia, Nigeria, Philippines, etc. They bring with them their own country's history and culture. Our students' education is enriched by this cultural diversity which gives a great preparation for life in today's globalised world. Our aim is to enable our students to become confident and happy 'global citizens', with equal respect for and values of one other's cultures.

Today, our Form 5 and Form 6 students visited the Discovery College University Fair to explore higher education pathways from around the globe. From connecting directly with admissions representatives to asking targeted questions about courses and campus life, our students took big strides in planning their post-secondary journeys.

A massive thank you to Discovery College for hosting us, and to our staff for making the day a seamless success!

📣 We are proud to share that our students achieved outstanding results in the Design Ethical Futures with Generative AI Workshop & Competition, co-organized by the Association of I.T. Leaders in Education (AiTLE) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). This meaningful programme empowered future innovators to explore the possibilities of Generative AI while developing strong ethical reasoning, critical thinking, and AI governance skills. Through a 1-day interactive workshop, online competition, and final pitch at PolyU, participants applied Gen-AI tools to real-world case studies and created impactful, portfolio-ready projects. Our students proudly won:
