教大首度參與 THE 世界大學影響力排名 優質教育（SDG 4）榮登全球第二

教大於2026年度《泰晤士高等教育》（THE）世界大學影響力排名中，就聯合國可持續發展目標第四項「優質教育」單項排名奪得全球第二。這項亮眼佳績是教大發展路上的重要里程碑，不僅印證本校在優質教育領域的領先實力，亦體現大學秉持「教育未來」願景，在可持續發展與學術卓越層面的國際影響力持續穩步提升。

是次排名結果於印尼雅加達舉行的「2026全球可持續發展峰會」（GSDC）上公布，近5,000位國際領袖及政策制定者齊聚一堂，共同探討可持續未來的策略。教大整體表現同樣不俗，首次參賽便躋身全球第101至200名區間，並在香港排名第六。該排名主要從研究、院校管治、社會外展及教學四大維度，衡量全球各大學對聯合國可持續發展目標（SDGs）的實際貢獻。

EdUHK Ranks 2nd Globally in SDG 4 (Quality Education), Debuts in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026

EdUHK has achieved a major global milestone, ranking 2nd worldwide in SDG 4 (Quality Education) in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026. This recognition underscores the University’s leadership in advancing quality education and highlights its growing impact in sustainable development and academic excellence in pursuit of “Education Futures”.

The results were announced at the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia, where nearly 5,000 thought leaders and policymakers gathered to exchange strategies for a sustainable future. Overall, EdUHK made a notable debut, securing a position in the 101–200 band globally and ranking 6th in Hong Kong. The ratings assess universities’ contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching.

教大2027年QS世界大學排名躍升124位　位列全球第406位
全球學術地位顯著提升

教大欣然宣佈在6月18日公布的2027年QS世界大學排名中再創佳績，全球排名躍升124位至第406位。教大去年首度參與QS世界大學排名即位列第 530 位，今年已躋身全球前30%大學之列，彰顯本校在學術聲譽、研究表現及國際地位方面的迅速進展。

教大在研究、可持續發展，以及學術和僱主聲譽等指標均錄得顯著進步，充分體現本校矢志追求學術卓越、鼓勵科研創新，並積極推動具社會責任的發展方向。這個由國際高等教育研究機構Quacquarelli Symonds（QS）編制的QS世界大學排名，評核指標涵蓋九大範疇，包括學術聲譽、論文引用次數、僱主評價、就業成果、師生比例、以及國際教職員及學生比例。

EdUHK Rises 124 Places to 406th in QS World University Rankings 2027
Significant Advancement in Global Standing

EdUHK has achieved a significant advancement in the QS World University Rankings 2027 announced on 18 June, climbing 124 places to 406th globally - a substantial improvement from 530th in 2026 when the University first entered the rankings. In only its second year of participation, EdUHK now ranks within the top 30% of universities worldwide, underscoring its rapid progress in academic reputation, research performance and international standing.

In this ranking compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), EdUHK recorded notable gains in research, sustainability as well as academic and employer reputation, among QS’s nine key performance indicators spanning academic reputation, citations per faculty, employer reputation, employment outcomes, faculty-student ratio, and international faculty and student ratios. The results reflected EdUHK’s strategic commitment to excellence in scholarship, innovation and socially responsible development.

六位教大學者獲研資局「海外研究學者計劃」資助
獲資助人數與金額均列全港第二

教大欣然宣布，其六位學者榮獲香港研究資助局（研資局）首屆「海外研究學者計劃」資助，總金額逾201萬港元。教大在獲資助人數及金額方面，均位列全港第二，充分展現本校研究團隊的卓越成就與不懈努力。

教大副校長（研究與發展）陳智軒教授向獲資助學者致以祝賀。他表示：「適逢教大正名十周年之際獲此殊榮，對大學來說別具意義。自升格為大學以來，教大一直致力拓展學術版圖與研究領域，以期為社會創造更具影響力的成果。今次獲選學者的研究領域涵蓋特殊教育、英語教育、心理學、環境科學，以及數學與資訊科技，彰顯教大在多元學術領域的跨學科研究實力與卓越成果。教大將繼續秉持『教育未來　多元專才』的核心價值，致力支持學者於不同領域深化發展，推動學術創新，服務社會發展。」

Six EdUHK Scholars Awarded RGC Overseas Research Fellowship Scheme Funding
Hong Kong’s Second Largest Cohort by Awardees and Funding Secured

EdUHK is pleased to announce that six of its scholars have been awarded funding under the inaugural Overseas Research Fellowship Scheme (ORFS) of the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC), with a total funding exceeding HK$2.01 million. EdUHK ranks second among all local universities in both the number of awardees and the amount of funding received, testifying to the outstanding academic accomplishments and relentless efforts of the University’s research team.

EdUHK Vice President (Research and Development), Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin, extended his congratulations to the awarded scholars. “It is particularly meaningful to receive this recognition as EdUHK celebrates the 10th anniversary of its retitling as a university. Over the past decade, we have diversified our academic and research portfolio to generate impact for society. Our researchers selected under this Scheme represent a wide spectrum of disciplines - from special education, English language education and psychology to environmental science, mathematics and information technology - demonstrating EdUHK’s robust interdisciplinary research capabilities and fruitful academic outcomes,” he said.

教大於數碼港成立知識交流中心　推動創新創業　深化產學研合作

教大於香港數碼港（數碼港）的知識交流中心（CKEx）正式開幕。在雙方的共同努力下，中心不僅將成為推動教大科研成果與學生創新應用的平台，亦會引入人工智能（AI）高管及創業培訓工作坊，同時探索微證書課程的發展，提供切合業界需求的學習機會。

適逢教大正名十周年，CKEx的成立標誌着大學在進一步加強產學研合作、推動知識轉移、培育創新人才，以及構建充滿活力的創業生態系統邁出重要一步。

EdUHK Launches Centre for Knowledge Exchange at Cyberport Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Deepening Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration

EdUHK has officially launched its Centre for Knowledge Exchange (CKEx) at Hong Kong Cyberport (Cyberport). With the joint efforts of both parties, the Centre will not only serve as a platform to drive the application of EdUHK’s research and student innovations, but will also introduce executive and entrepreneurial training workshops on artificial intelligence (AI), while exploring the development of micro-credential programmes to provide industry-relevant learning opportunities.

Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of EdUHK’s retitling, the establishment of this Centre marks an important milestone in the University’s efforts to further strengthen industry-academia-research collaboration to advance knowledge transfer (KT), nurture innovative talent, and foster a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

校友活動「端午節包糭工作坊 2026」圓滿結束！在專業導師Oscar的細心指導下，大家都親手體驗了包糭的樂趣，成功製作出美味又充滿節日氣氛的端午糭。透過是次活動，校友們不但學習到傳統節慶食品的製作技巧，亦一同感受端午佳節的濃厚氣氛，共同享受溫馨歡聚時光。

The Dragon Boat Festival Rice Dumpling Making Workshop 2026 for alumni was a resounding success! Under the thoughtful guidance of professional instructor Oscar, everyone was immersed in the joy of hand-making their own unique and delicious Dragon Boat Festival rice dumplings filled with festive spirit. Through this workshop, the alumni not only learned traditional techniques for making festival foods, but also shared the warm and vibrant atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival, enjoying unforgettable moments together.

教大與哈薩克斯坦納扎爾巴耶夫大學簽署合作備忘錄
推動教育交流　培育具國際視野人才

教大隨同由香港特別行政區（香港特區）行政長官李家超先生率領的商貿代表團訪問哈薩克斯坦，於6月3日與當地排名第一的納扎爾巴耶夫大學正式簽署合作備忘錄，積極推動兩地學術交流與合作，成為香港與中亞地區人才培育的重要橋樑。同時，教大亦於6月2日與香港電訊簽署合作備忘錄，設立專項獎學金，資助獲選的哈薩克斯坦學生赴教大升學，拓展其國際視野及學習機會。

EdUHK Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan to Enhance Educational Exchange and Global Talent Development

EdUHK joined a business delegation to Kazakhstan led by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mr John Lee Ka-chiu. During the visit, EdUHK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan’s top-ranked institution, to enhance academic exchange and cooperation, building an important bridge for talent development between Hong Kong and Central Asia.

In addition, EdUHK also signed an MoU with Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) on 2 June to create a dedicated scholarship scheme, enabling selected Kazakh students to pursue studies at EdUHK and broaden their international exposure and learning opportunities.

香港教育大學正名十周年
十年砥礪蛻變　共築教育未來

教大在5月27日迎來正名十周年的重要里程碑。自2016年香港特別行政區政府（香港特區政府）將「香港教育學院」正名為「香港教育大學」，教大在定位、教學、研究、創新、知識轉移，以及國家與國際聯繫等方面持續拓展，逐步發展成一所以教育為本、兼具多元學科實力與國際視野的大學。

教大校董會主席黃友嘉博士表示：「正名十周年，不僅標誌着教大發展歷程上的重要節點，更體現大學多年來在教學、研究、知識轉移及國際化方面的持續邁進。教大衷心感謝香港特區政府、社會各界及持份者一直以來的信任與支持。展望未來，大學將按照《策略發展計劃2025–2031》穩步前行，積極融入粵港澳大灣區發展，並與國家發展方向同頻共振，為鞏固香港作為國際教育樞紐的地位作出更大貢獻。」

EdUHK Marks 10th Anniversary of Retitling
A Decade of Transformation in Shaping the Future of Education

On 27 May, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) celebrated the 10th anniversary of its retitling, marking an important milestone in the University’s development. Since the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR Government) retitled “The Hong Kong Institute of Education” as “The Education University of Hong Kong” in 2016, the University has steadily expanded its positioning, teaching, research, innovation, knowledge transfer, as well as national and international engagement, evolving into an education-focused university with diversified academic strengths and a global outlook.

Dr David Wong Yau-kar, Chairman of the Council of EdUHK, said, “The 10th anniversary of our retitling not only represents a major milestone in the University’s development, but also underscores our continuous progress in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and internationalisation over the years. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support of the HKSAR Government, the community and all our stakeholders. Looking ahead, the University will move forward steadily in line with its Strategic Plan 2025–2031, actively integrate into the development of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and align with national development priorities, thereby contributing to consolidating Hong Kong’s position as an international education hub.”
