Meet Kristen Lam, a proud member of our inaugural graduating class of 2010.
Seventeen years ago, she walked into JEMS as a student and walked away with lessons that still shape who she is today, including lessons on perseverance and gratitude.

🚀 Fast forward to today: Kristen Lam works at the Gates Foundation on AI Strategy and Partnerships, helping ensure technology serves as a force for good for the world’s most vulnerable populations.

Kristen recently reunited with her former teacher, Ms. Christine, Founder & Principal of JEMS Character Academy , to exchange ideas on how artificial intelligence is shaping the next generation. That meaningful conversation sparked the perfect intersection of Kristen’s JEMS roots, professional expertise, and passion for ethical technology: co-developing our upcoming AI Ethics Program! 💡🤖

We are incredibly moved by Kristen’s journey and cannot wait to share how this new curriculum will empower our students to navigate the future with character, strength, and strong digital citizenship.
