WORDS FROM CHAIRPERSON
When I first got into secondary school, I thought Cheung Chuk Shan College was a school for geeks, so I felt skeptical and resistant. The students in CCSC are actually very passionate, enthusiastic and united, as though CCSC is in its brightest years. Growing up, a sense of belonging took root in the depths of my heart. In an instant, I am studying at CCSC for the fifth ye
ar now. As time goes by, I perceived that the glory of CCSC is nowhere to be found anymore. No matter in academic results, class activities or House activities, students no longer have the passion and motivation that they once had. As if a burning ember has lost its heat. Halcyon, is a kingfisher in the Greek mythology. According to legend, it means peace and glory, it also has the power to stop storming winds. Therefore, the fifteen of us would like to fulfill the theme ‘Evoke the concealed anime’, by holding activities throughout the year. Starting from this year, let us reignite CCSC’s fiery glory, and regain students’ sense of belonging. However, as Rome was not built in a day, a sense of belonging cannot be cultivated in a year. So, I hope the students can pass it down throughout the years. Our slogan,

Through Halcyon’s activities, we hope you can feel our passion, as well as reinvigorate your spirit and pride as a CCSC student. Let us steer CCSC into a path of sunshine once again. In line of our aim to break the old and establish the new, our platform includes a lot of fresh new activities. Sub-Committee Recruitment
This year is not purely a sub-committee recruitment, it is a major step in achieving our goal. Through providing training to sub-committee members, students can learn leadership skills and skills to hold activities, to prepare students for further studies and work in society. Campus Tracing
Newly-admitted students are still getting used to secondary school life, so we hope to help them get familiar with the school’s enormous campus, to increase their sense of belonging. Teacher-student competitions
This year, we will introduce a brand new event, a revised competition system and a whole new experience for teachers and students, to enhance teacher-student relationships. And much more…
