The Convocation of City University of Hong Kong held a career skills-sharing session on the evening of 11 September. We were honored to invite Ms. Winnie Tam as our guest speaker to share on the topic “Personal Branding and Networking Made Easy” 💼🌟

Ms. Tam shared practical insights in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner, helping alums learn how to build a stronger personal brand, enhance workplace competitiveness, and expand career development opportunities through effective networking 🤝

8月8日城大評議會舉辦Alumni Sports Discovery Day🏃‍♂️🏸🏓

設有pickleball、羽毛球、乒乓球及室內跑體驗，並安排體育館導賞，讓超過200位校友透過運動互動交流，了解大學最新發展，增強歸屬感💪 不少校友讚賞設施完善，氣氛熱鬧，期待更多活動，盼大家繼續支持！

✨ **城大校友 @ 心靈會所｜活動花絮** ✨

7月9日及16日兩晚，「城大校友 @ 心靈會所」順利舉行，兩場 Alumni Chill Club Gathering 聚集不同背景的城大校友，放工後回到大學，在 Alumni Lounge 暫時放低日常節奏，一齊為情緒健康同自我照顧留返一點空間 🧠🌿

今次活動邀請到4位具專業背景的嘉賓校友，透過園藝療法 🌱、表達藝術 🎨、情緒解碼 💬 及發展性轉化 🎭，分享不同輔助治療方式同辨析情緒的實用 tips。內容有動有靜、有實用亦有創意，希望讓校友選用較輕鬆／適合自己的方式，認識壓力、理解自己，也認識身邊更多校友。

活動後，不少校友都表示，疫情後心理健康愈來愈值得被重視，而這類活動正好提供一個低壓、舒服又有啟發的交流空間。亦有校友提到，希望未來可以繼續舉辦相關活動，甚至加入更深入的主題分享，讓大家在工作、生活與自我照顧之間，找到更多可實踐的方法 ✨

評議會一直希望善用大學不同學科的專才與資源，回應校友在生活及職場中可能面對的需要，達至可持續發展的校友圈。今次活動不只是一次聚會，更是一個讓校友重新連繫校園、擴闊社交圈子、補充心理能量的機會 🤝

✨ CityU Alumni @ Mind Lounge｜Event Highlights ✨

On July 9 and 16, CityUHK Convocation hosted two Alumni Chill Club Gathering sessions at the Alumni Lounge, bringing together CityU alums to unwind after work and make space for emotional wellness and self-care 🧠🌿

Four alum guest speakers shared practical tips on understanding emotions through Horticultural Therapy 🌱, Expressive Arts Therapy 🎨, Emotion Decoding 💬, and Developmental Transformations 🎭. With a mix of movement, reflection, creativity, and practical tools, the sessions offered fresh ways to explore stress and connect with fellow alums.

Participants gave positive feedback, noting the growing importance of mental health in the post-pandemic era. Many hoped to see more activities like this, with deeper sharing on related topics ✨

The Convocation will continue to make use of the University’s diverse expertise and resources to support alum needs in life and work 🤝

CityUHK Convocation successfully hosted the Alumni @ Chill Club Gathering on 9 and 16 July 2026, drawing over 60 alumni participants across the two-part experiential workshop series filled with creativity, reflection, and reconnection.

The event invited four alumni professionals, including Mr Gabriel Ho, Chairman of CityUHK Convocation & Horticultural Therapist, Ms Morgan Fan, Social Worker, Ms Beatrice Tam, Counsellor, and Mr Isaac Yeung, Standing Committee Member of CityUHK Convocation & Developmental Transformations (DvT) Practitioner. Drawing on their extensive professional experience, the speakers shared their insights in Horticultural Therapy, Expressive Arts, Emotional Decoding and Developmental Transformations.

On 9 July, alumni participants enjoyed horticultural and arts activities, including creating their own hot pads with bean and herb and designing personalized name cards.

On 16 July, alumni participants received a practical “Emotional First-Aid Kit"（情緒急救箱）” and reconnected with others through interactive theatre games.

Participants provided positive feedback on the workshops and shared that the workshops offered them an opportunity to unwind after work, deepen self-understanding, and build greater psychological resilience.
