如何幫助孩子在暑假輕鬆且有效準備，為 Year 12 / IBDP 1 打好基礎

從 IBMYP / IGCSE 轉入 IBDP，對很多學生來說，都是一個很重要的轉變。
對家長及學生而言，暑假本來應該是讓孩子休息和調整的時間；但同時，這也是學生在 IB Year 12 開始前，最容易不知不覺失去節奏的階段。

問題往往不在於學生是否不夠聰明，而是在於他們是否用對方法開始。
若一開始欠缺清晰方向、有效習慣與適當節奏，到了開學後，很多學生便會慢慢由「建立基礎」變成「被動追趕」。壓力一旦累積，往後的學習就會更吃力。

1️⃣ 讓六月和七月悄悄流走
暑假看似很長，但其實轉眼便過去。很多學生會想「遲些再開始」，但真正到開學前，時間往往已經不夠。
小貼士：暑假不需要密集操練，只需保留每星期少量而穩定的學習節奏，便足以幫助學生平穩銜接 IB。

2️⃣ 只做自己熟悉的科目
學生自然會較願意花時間在自己熟悉、喜歡的科目上，但 IB 課程節奏急促，弱科如果長時間沒有處理，往往會成為日後最主要的壓力來源。
小貼士：先找出一至兩科較需要加強的科目，在暑假作有針對性的補強，往往比開學後才臨急抱佛腳更有效。

3️⃣ 仍然依賴被動式溫習
重看筆記、劃重點，看起來很勤力，但這些方法未必足夠支撐 IB 所需要的理解、應用與即時反應。
小貼士：及早建立主動回想（active recall）和針對性練習的習慣以鞏固知識及記憶，有助打穩基礎。

4️⃣ 未能真正掌握 IB 的評分方式
IB 重視精準答題。不是寫得多便足夠，而是要按課程大綱及評分標準的要求作答。
小貼士：及早熟悉 command terms（題目指令）與 markscheme（評分準則），及早掌握 IB 答題方向及技巧，減少無謂的失分與挫敗感。

5️⃣ 有不明白的地方卻一直不問
小問題如果不及早處理，到了 IB 內容開始堆積時，就會變得更難補救。
小貼士： 及早找到合適的導師以獲得有效的學習支援，儘早釐清概念，重新掌握學習節奏，利用更聰明的方法學習。

What parents should spot – and how to help this summer before Year 12 begins

The transition from IBMYP / IGCSE to IBDP is one of the most important academic shifts a student will face. For many parents, summer feels like a well-earned break after exams — and it should be. But it is also the period when students can quietly lose momentum before IB Year 12 even begins.

1️⃣ Letting June and July slip away
