Beau Geste lifts the Britannia Cup 🏆⛵️

The prestigious Britannia Cup took centre stage on North Sails Race Day, bringing together IRC Classes Zero and One with the Cape 31 fleet for one of the week’s biggest contests.

Presented by King George VI in 1950, the Cup was decided in fresh conditions as the fleet battled west against the tide. The long beats played into the hands of the powerful TP52s, which claimed the first four places overall.

It was Hong Kong-owned Beau Geste that came out on top, earning one of the most celebrated trophies at North Sails Cowes Week. Congratulations to the entire team! 👏

Wah Yan Sailors Summer Gathering — Around 30 Wah Yan sailors, spanning generations, came together for an evening of relaxed drinks and warm camaraderie. We also bid a fond farewell to our Captain Jason as he embarks on a new professional chapter in North America. It was wonderful to welcome several first-time participants, with conversations flowing from sailing to life beyond the water. Special thanks as well to everyone who collected their WYS duffle bags, thoughtfully crafted from retired sails.

追風逐浪｜享受水上運動 不忘守護海洋

//世界海洋日在每年的6月舉行，這個節日旨在喚起全球對海洋生態健康的關注、資源永續，以及海洋在氣候調節中的重要角色，同時鼓勵公眾一同為保護海洋出一分力。

筆者知道本地有不少的水上運動體育會近年都積極推動環保措施，從日常運作到大型活動，致力保護海洋環境。例如香港遊艇會早於十年前便開始全面推行「走塑」，停止提供和售賣任何一次性的塑膠用品，如膠樽、膠袋和膠飲管，並在轄下的三個會址設置飲水機，鼓勵大家自備水樽。//
