UNSDGs Debating Competition 2025/26
We are proud to announce the outstanding achievement of our students in the "UNSDGs Debating Competition 2025/26" organised by UNESCO Hong Kong Association and supported by the English Department of City University of Hong Kong.

Our English Debating Team's Form 1 team has demonstrated exceptional skills in research, critical thinking, and teamwork while showcasing a deep understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

We are proud to announce the outstanding achievements of our students in the “Positive Thinking with the Basic Law — Hong Kong Secondary Inter-School Debate Competition (Basic Law Cup).”

2nd Runner-Up at HKACE "Harmony of Innovation" AI Song Creation Competition

We are thrilled to announce that our student, 1A Wong Hei Yee, has achieved remarkable success at the "Harmony of Innovation" A.I. Song Creation Competition, organised by the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) to celebrate its 45th Anniversary.

The competition invited secondary school students from across Hong Kong to harness the power of A.I. tools to compose original music. Participants were tasked with mastering A.I. prompt engineering to create songs that integrated themes of technology, education innovation, and the HKACE’s 45 years of dedication to the computer education community.

Wong Hei Yee’s submission was evaluated based on its relevance to the theme, creativity in technology use, and overall musicality, ultimately securing the 2nd Runner-up position.

The prize presentation ceremony was held on May 7, 2026, during the HKACE 45th Anniversary Dinner. It was a great honor for Hei Yee to receive her award from Dr. Choi Yuk-lin, JP, the Secretary for Education, who graced the event as the guest of honor.

This achievement highlights the school's commitment to STEAM education and the innovative use of A.I. in the creative arts. We hope Hei Yee’s success inspires more students to explore the intersection of technology and creativity.

HKACE STEAM Scholarship
Congratulations to Tang Ka-lun on Receiving the HKACE STEAM Scholarship

On 7 May 2026, at the 45th Anniversary Celebration of the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE), our student Tang Ka-lun was awarded the HKACE STEAM Scholarship.

The award was jointly presented by the Secretary for Education, Dr. Choi Yuk-lin, and Professor Wong Kam-fai, MH, JP, Honorary President of HKACE as the donor of the scholarship, making the occasion especially meaningful.

The HKACE STEAM Scholarship was established in the 2022–2023 academic year to encourage secondary students to excel in STEAM education and pursue further studies in related disciplines. Each recipient is awarded HK$10,000 in recognition of outstanding academic performance, active participation in STEAM activities, and exemplary character.

We are very proud of TANG’s achievement and extend our heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved honour.

Celebrating Musical Excellence: The 78th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival 🎼

We are proud to share the outstanding achievements of our choirs at this year’s festival. After months of dedicated rehearsals and weeks of competitions, our students delivered extraordinary performances!

The Senior Mixed Choir secured 2nd Runner-up in both the Chinese and Foreign Language categories. Additionally, our Junior Girls' Choir earned 2nd Runner-up in the Chinese Language category.

Congratulations to all our choristers for their passion and commitment to choral singing!

BHJS C-Grade Boys' Volleyball Team Wins Inter-School Championship

Last Saturday, our C-Grade Boys' Volleyball Team competed in the finals of the Inter-School Volleyball Competition (Division Three, Kowloon Area Two) against Sing Yin Secondary School. Despite a 1-2 loss to the same opponent in the group stage, our players actively prepared and intensified their training for the finals.

With the support of teachers and students at the venue, the team performed consistently well and defeated their opponent in straight sets, successfully capturing this year's C-Grade championship.

The school congratulates the team on their outstanding achievement and thanks all the teachers and students who supported them throughout the competition.

Annual General Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association (28th November 2025)

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) successfully convened its 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2025-2026 academic year on the evening of November 28 in the School Hall. The meeting aimed to strengthen home-school communication, introduce the members of the PTA Executive Committee, and advance the association's affairs for the upcoming year.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Principal Law. Subsequently, PTA representatives presented the annual report and financial statement to all members, reviewing the fruitful achievements of home-school cooperation over the past year.

To broaden the horizons of both parents and students, the assembly specially invited Mr. G.A. Lee, recipient of the "2025 6th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneur – Best Social Responsibility Award," to serve as the keynote speaker. He delivered a talk titled "The Relationship Between the Greater Bay Area and Your Children's Future." Mr. Lee provided an insightful yet accessible analysis of development trends within the Greater Bay Area. He encouraged parents and students to consider how to align academic and career planning with the region's macro-development, using this as an opportunity to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills in advance.

The 15th AGM concluded successfully following the exchange session between parents and class teachers. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Lee for his valuable sharing. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the members of the 15th PTA Executive Committee, as well as all teachers and parents, for their unwavering support and dedication.

62nd Speech Day (11th December 2025)

On November 22, we gathered for the annual Speech Day, an important occasion to honor the achievements of our students and alumni. The ceremony opened with the singing of our school song. We then recognized outstanding students by presenting awards that acknowledged their hard work and dedication. We were excited to hear inspiring speeches from our alumni, Professor Leung, who is now pursuing a career in computer science in the United Kingdom. The event also featured impressive performances by our school choir, adding a sense of elegance to the celebration. We concluded the day by taking photographs to commemorate these significant moments. It was a memorable occasion that we all valued together.

21st Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club (10th December 2025)

The school's Interact Club recently successfully held its 21st Installation Ceremony, marking the commencement of the new executive committee and ushering in a new chapter for the club's development. The ceremony was a dignified and successful event.

We were highly honored to have several distinguished guests attend the ceremony. The attendees included: The President of the Rotary Club of Kowloon West, Mr. Edmond Cheng; the Vice President, Mr. Joseph Lau; several Past Presidents (PP) from the Rotary Club of Kowloon West, namely Mr. Stanley Law, Dr. Stanley Ma, Mr. Daniel Suen, and Mr. Arthur Yung; and the President Elect (PE), Mr. Cody P**n. Furthermore, our Principal, Ms Law, also graced the occasion with her presence to show support for the students.

During the solemn ceremony, the new executive committee officially took their oaths of office, pledging to uphold the spirit of Rotary by serving the community. In their speeches, the guests extended their sincere blessings and encouragement to the new officers. They motivated the team to actively organize meaningful community service activities, exercise their leadership skills, and inject positive energy into the campus and the wider community in the coming year. This installation ceremony not only affirmed and set expectations for the new committee but also highlighted the close collaborative relationship between our school and the Rotary Club of Kowloon West. We look forward to the new Interact Club continuing its tradition of excellent collaboration and service in the year ahead.

Inauguration Ceremony (17th September 2025)

The annual inauguration ceremony was successfully held on September 17th, 2025.

The ceremony officially began with an inspiring speech by Principal Miss Law. Following a speech by the former Student Union President of Contrail, the new Student Union, Aetheria, officially took office. Each member of Aetheria then received their lapel pins from the Principal. The new Student Union President then introduced the student leaders of various societies to the students.

During the prefect inauguration, both new and returning prefects gave speeches. This year's prefect team was then introduced one by one, and greeted with the warm applause from the faculty and students.

This ceremony marked the end of the previous student leader's term and the official start of the new student leader's term!

We hope that all student leaders will leverage their strengths and fulfill their respective roles in the coming year to work together to create a better campus for everyone. Once again, we offer our heartfelt congratulations to every one of the newly elected student leaders!
