Had a and busy 2 weeks working on the preparation work for the 1st stage of R&D for . Thank you all once again for your great effort in your application and amazing commitment last Sat. It was truely impressive. Also, thank you all class participants for your patience in the past 2 weeks. Attention is now back to classes!


N E W ✨

New class for is starting this Sunday! This is for REAL beginners.

As I have no intention to bombard my beginner students with heavy dance techniques or "memory tests" on dance sequences, (also greatly inspired by the session last Sat), half of the class will be a movement class that brings you into the beautiful world of improvisation, exploring body movements and exploring different ways of moving through imagination and different improvisation tasks. Half of the class will be basic contemporary dance skills including floor work and simple sequences suitable for beginners.

Class on coming Sun will happen in this beautiful studio shown in the picture if it may bring more incentives!

It wouldn't hurt to try, and it especially wouldn't hurt to dance. DM for booking and I will see you in this beautiful studio with other beautiful beings this Sunday afternoon🌻🌱

I was very excited to have received a lot of wonderful applications to the first stage of R&D for "On The Other Side 彼岸". And I am beyond grateful to have met 12 of them today in a studio session, seeing the beauty and uniqueness each of them can bring to the process. Can't wait to start the creation in a week, and really looking forward to see more of them again in the future. Thank you all once again for your effort, creativity, and a lovely Saturday afternoon.

【Open Call】

Calling for 3 movers based in Hong Kong to take part in the first stage of R&D process in my next creation - "On The Other Side 彼岸". It will be a process that looks into death, emotion, bodily sensation, connection between body and emotion, and relation between bodies.

LOOKING FOR:
- 1 to 2 movers who have no or very little dance experience (I am interested in movements from fresh bodies that are not yet heavily trained/shaped into specific form or technique).
- 1 to 2 movers who have more experience in dance especially in improvisation.

MUST BE:
- Comfortable in improvisation
- Responsible: Arriving to each session on time and being able to fully commit in the process
- Respectful to all other bodies in the room
- A team player

PREFERENCE:
- Have been practicing meditation, mindfulness, and/or yoga
- Participants with flexible schedule in case unexpected rearrangement is needed

🧘🏻‍♀️Calling for 1 more participant with experience in contemporary dance (or participants who have been taking my classes regularly), AND STRONG INTEREST in movement-body exploration and in-depth learning of movement concepts, to join the current Wed group. Participant with full commitment to all 5 classes or 10-class-package (together with Sat Open Class) are prioritized to join this group. Apply by Nov 3 if you are interested. Single class(es) enrollment will be available after Nov 6. Classes include exploration sections, floorwork training, taught sequences, and occasionally body training.
