π« For families looking for a gentle, loving first school experience, something special is arriving at Guidepost Montessori Chai Wan.
Beginning this August, our Nido program will be available at our Chai Wan campus, offering a nurturing first step for children aged 1 to 2 years. In a caring and carefully prepared environment, infants and young toddlers are supported as they safely explore, adapt, and begin building independence from the very start. πΆπ»
At Guidepost, the Nido experience is designed to honour each childβs natural development through gentle guidance, freedom of movement, and opportunities for independent experimentation. It is a beautiful stage of growth, and we look forward to welcoming more families into this journey.
We invite families who are interested to get in touch and learn more about our Nido program at our Chai Wan campus. π±

Week 3 of our Summer Camp brings you The Story of Possibilities! π΅
Every great story begins with a single sound β a playful rhyme, a catchy beat, or a simple question that sparks a world of imagination. This week, children will dive into a fun journey filled with the music of language, simple math patterns, and stories about friendship. They will discover how we care for our planet and each other, building creativity and early thinking skills through joyful, hands-on discovery.
The Story of Possibilities is the Week 3 theme across our Montessori Together and Little Campers programs.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but separation can also be the beautiful beginning of your childβs independence. With the right support, this transition can become a gentle, meaningful milestone for both of you. π±
Before school begins, small and consistent moments of preparation can help toddlers build trust, confidence, and a sense of security. Familiar routines, calm transitions, and opportunities for purposeful activity all play an important role in helping young children feel more ready for this next stage.
At Guidepost, our Transitional Toddler Trial Week is designed as a semi-independent experience that helps ease separation anxiety in young toddlers, develop focused attention through prolonged purposeful activity, and build self-confidence through active engagement with learning materials.
β¨ Transitional Toddler Trial Week offers a gentle introduction to the school environment for toddlers and their families. Contact us to learn more.

What if the most magical moment isn't the butterfly β but the waiting?
Something is changing. Something is becoming. Week 2 of Summer Camp 2026 explores the magic of transformation.
Every great change begins quietly β a seed pushing through soil, a caterpillar retreating into stillness before it emerges as something entirely new. This week, children will explore the remarkable cycles of the natural world and discover that transformation takes time, patience, and wonder.
The Story of Transformation is the Week 2 theme across our Montessori Together and Little Campers programs.

πΏ A morning of discovery in nature
At Clearwater Bay Country Park, our children from Sai Kung campus set off on a morning of discovery with the Backyard Gang team, exploring the natural world with all their senses. As they spotted changeable lizards, butterflies, beetles, and spiders up close, you could see their excitement grow with every new find. Their careful searching and sharing of observations gave them rich practice in observation and classification, while deepening their curiosity about the living things all around them.
Throughout the experience, children had many chances to communicate, collaborate, and exchange their own ideas and discoveries with one another. Snack time beneath the trees offered a peaceful pause in the shade, creating space for rest, connection, and social bonding in nature as they chatted about their favourite moments from the morning.
The bamboo water run brought another burst of hands-on excitement, as children worked together to connect bamboo sticks and use sponges to move water through the run. As they watched the water flow and splash into cups, they experimented with new strategies, solved problems as a team, and celebrated each small success with joy and laughter.
As the morning came to a close, the children returned from the park a little muddier, a little more confident, and a lot more curious about the world outside. Experiences like this help build a lasting love for nature, strengthen friendships, and give children meaningful opportunities to learn through real-world exploration and play.

π’ Have you ever really watched a turtle move?
Thereβs something about a living creature that no book or screen can replicate. Last month, our children were invited into a quiet moment of discovery β observing a small turtle up close, noticing how it moved, how it responded, how it explored the world at its own unhurried pace.
With clean hands and gentle hearts, they took turns letting the turtle crawl across their palms. No rushing. No noise. Just a child, a creature, and a sense of wonder growing in real time.
These are the moments that stay. The ones that teach children not just about animals, but about patience, care, and the quiet responsibility of sharing the world with other living things.
